DROGAN'S WARGEAR  AND THEIR HISTORY

The sword was originally called "silver liberty" and served with drogan during the crusade era, where he used it to kill xenos, rebels, and strange creatures of the warp. Through out drogan's service, it would continue to kill, but never was altered till the day it tasted the blood of astartes, and the demons walked down the path of rebellion. It began to twist and turn due to the effects of the warp, molding it into a possessed blade of carnage. Drogan was actually pleased with this, and continued to fight, killing more and more laughing all the way. When it came time to battle at the very gates of terra, drogan had bound a demon of the 4 ruinous powers each to a part of his blade and watched the change with fascination. It has never left his side or went without blood for millenia, and has come to be feared by both the mortals of the reality, and the immortal denizens of the warp.

 

 

LONG RANGE -  DRAGON'S MAW

A weapon from his former days as a captain among the gilded demons, and later the crimson dragons before his betrayal and journey in the warp. He heavily modified this weapon to be a single hand wield with all the power it could muster. He bound demons to the gun with fell sorcery, in the warp they would be fired into the parts of various enemies and from there explode into the battlefield or posses the their victim.He uses these demonically enhanced shots in his battles across the galaxies. rumor has it, that the dragon head of the cannon, changes form depending on the type of demon about to be fired.

 

ARMOR - HELL BLAZER

 

 

This is basically a repainted version of the standard armor for crimson dragon captains, with a few additions. The dark objects drogan sculpted seem to move and shift for no discernible reason, and that when looked upon, your greatest terrors come to life, draining your mind and soul. Drogan's warband adopted a similar style, just without the crazy magic going through it.

3^RD BLACK CRUSADE ACT 1 – PART 2

 

Drogan has slain the previous “warmaster” of chaos, and now has the title. He thus set out to gain the reputation and warriors required for his plans. He already had the fealty of his warband of a 100 former crimson dragons, and so will start with the other legions.

 

VEIL PRIESTS

Drogan started with this legion first as they would gain him the respect of the other factions that worship the dark gods as a pantheon, he approached templas for an “anointing”. Templas agreed to the idea, though was slightly grudged about placing the “Scarlet Drake” in the pantheon. Drogan stood firm as he was giving the blessing of the dark gods via the veil priests legion.

 

DIREWOLVES

The direwolves were a bit more problematic, but with promises of much blood spilling and skull taking, kratos and most of the remnants of their legion joined with an extra incentive of them being able to replace their numbers more easily. It didn’t hurt that he killed a good chunk of them before they submitted. He also got a large following of khorne demons

 

LUNAR FANG

With them, he reached an agreement of them getting first crack at any sons of the falcon. He also gained information that could prove useful to his cause.

 

EYE OF ZIVON

He hadn’t managed to gain the loyalty of their primarch, but he did gain the support of the warband, and proceeded to give them their assignments for the coming war.

 

With these he would begin the 3rd black crusade and establish himself as the greatest warrior of chaos.

PRIMARCH HISTORY - PYROS 

 

Like all his brothers, pyros's pod was hurtled through the warp to a new world. His pod was damaged however, and during his trek through the warp he got infused with a bit of khorne's wrath. This caused his body to be bathed in flame, and was melting his pod. He would crash land on a planet known as phoenicia, which was home to two races. The techno barbarians called "sunsu" and a mutant group of unknown origins. He would land in a hidden temple to the barbarians' gods, where the sunsu warrior king was gathering his people for a last stand against a large army of mutants. The king's warriors looked to the sky and saw something crash into inside. It would be a few minutes later that a young boy would walk out, his body bathed in flame with a phoenix helmet on his head. The warrior king ran over to get a look at the boy, and upon seeing the mutants flee decided to raise him. He taught him to read, to hunt, and to fight. He also spoke of his people's legends, even naming the boy pyros after their word for the phoenix lord. Eventually the mutants returned to fight, and an adult pyros greeted them, hot flames circling his body. He carried a doubled sided spear and led the charge against the mutants, burning and killing each one he saw. He began retaking the lands, and then eventually the world through war. He did however have a love of joking around, with his passionate demeanor. He would eventually conquer the world, and rule as the phoenix king. The imperium came soon after, which pyros had been having dreams of, and when morpheus stepped to greet him, pyros clasped him in a hug and pledged his loyalty to the emperor.

3RD BLACK CRUSADE ACT 2: ASSAULTING THE VERDE SYSTEM.

The verde system was home to two guardsmen worlds, and a forge world containing titan production capabilities. Drogan's plan was to seize said forge-world for his war effort. He had gathered the necessary power to open a warpstorm, and quickly attacked the world, hitting the communications first. This naturally started the war for verde.

 

LUNAR FANG

 

The lunar fang were the ones to strike first on the orders of drogan. They would attack the communication arrays first, and prepare the way for the rest of the chaos forces. They were being led by oceanus, who had not been turned into a flesh ship like his other comrades due to not having close relations with the neptune. He ordered a controlled hailstorm of missiles to soften the defences up, and called for his brothers to capture the spaceport. The unexpected attack, disoriented the defenders. They began instilling fear into the populace, skinning and hanging the corpses of civilians and soldiers alike while playing bat screeches on the coms. The guardsmen worlds quickly responded to the radio silence, and upon noting the warp storm and invasion, sent reinforcements to defend the forge world while sending for astartes back up. This would play right into drogan's plans.

 

LORDS OF EXCESS

 

Drogan was quite strict about their part in this, and charged them to attack the guardsmen already stationed on the forge world. They  were to keep the lunar fangs supported. Their sirens being used to place the weak willed mortals against their former allies. The marines in this group did the job, but eventually went against orders and began to torture the population, leaving the fangs unsupported. Much to their and drogan's ire. He did have something in place should the lords of excess forget their task.

 

DIREWOLVES

 

These butchers were sent directly to the guardsmen worlds, with only 1 order given. They were to kill as many of the mortals as possible, to which they happily obeyed, being led by kratos. The former equerry finally lost it, and just butchered every foe he could get his hands on. The wolves practically running at the enemy like wolves, their weapons roaring in the air as they pounce.

 

CLAWS OF DROGAN

 

His personal warband is deployed to oversee the full plan of drogan, and to gather the slaves they'll gather during the chaos being unleashed upon this world. Each marine of this warband was a former crimson dragon who followed drogan into battle. There is a great plan at work, and they'll insure its completion.

 

SCRIBES OF TEMPLAS & EYES OF ZIVON

 

They are split between the three worlds of the verde star system, and were handed a special task by drogan. Remembering well the retribution a son of morpheus(even a fallen one) can inflict on those who disobey, they got in position and waited along with the eyes of zivion for the next phase of drogan's plans.

 

With all this happening, five chapters of loyalist space marines were enroute to put an end to the invasion.

3RD BLACK CRUSADE ACT 3 - THE IMPERIUM FIGHTS BACK.

START OF THE IMPERIAL RESPONSE.

 

The major figure for this assault would be talion chapter master of the iron fangs, followed by kalidor of the raven knights 2nd company, and other men of various ranks. They assessed the situation, and split up to halt the theft of the titans.

 

IRON FANG VS LUNAR FANG

 

There would be a "battle of fangs" joke here, but none of the iron fangs joked with this task. They dropped to the forge world, and quickly went to work fighting the lunar fangs. The current champion for this part of the lunar fang, was quick to turn the group's focus on the loyalists who've come to face them. The champion of the lunar fangs valdu, had foreseen this event where he was to die. He naturally questioned it, as tzeentch is a fickle and treacherous master.The iron fang were suffering losses, but along with the guardsmen that were with them began to gain ground. The lunar fangs were more suited for raids and ship combat, and on the orders of drogan, they pulled back to the scribes location when they could lose their pursuers. 

 

IRON SERPENTS VS LORDS OF EXCESS.

 

The iron serpent chapter landed in the civilian district of the forge world, and began hunting down any chaos forces. They eventually came into contact with the 477th regiment of guardsmen, that made it to the planet first, while the other regiment was held up. Together these 2 forces combed the sectors till they found the lords of excess, and opened fire upon them. The lords were not prepared for this, having ignored their orders. They fell back as the loyalist unleashed the imperium's fury.

 

RAVEN KNIGHTS VS EYES OF ZIVON

 

The knights were enroute to the world, when their ships were ambushed by the eyes of zivon warband. The assault came out of nowhere, and a few ships were either crippled or destroyed before order was restored. The 2 engaged in ship to ship combat, and even a few boarding parties, both sides fighting to complete their objective. The knights weren't the only ships being waylaid, as the 865th guardsmen regiment was also being halted. They were losing and gaining as the battles progressed, before the eyes of zivon finally retreated back to the warp and to drogan's side. This was to prepare for phase 2.

 

HAMMER OF FENRIS & THUNDER LORDS VS DIREWOLVES

 

This foe required the might of 2 chapters of adeptus astartes, the thunder lords from the west, and the hammer of fenris from the east. Kratos, regaining some of his sanity, managed to organize his blood hungry brothers, to face these threats. There were the usual khornate cries for blood and skulls, but there was still a touch of the old legion's history with cries for their gene father and homeworld. The loyalists quickly fired on the wolves till they ran out of rounds, then reluctantly resorted to melee where the wolves ruled. All this was to keep the chapters distracted for the next phase.

 

RELEASE THE DEMONS

 

The scribes had finished chanting, and unleashed the demons of khorne and tzeentch upon the loyalists. The guardsmen worlds were the first to feel the demonic poison. Khorne demons pouring from the spilt blood of the fallen people, and even direwolves. The tzeentchian demons claiming the 2nd guardsmen world. These forces would delay the the loyalist on those worlds while drogan comes down himself.

 

IRON FANGS VS CLAWS OF DROGAN

 

Talion, his brothers, and the PDF that survived, made their way to the inside of the titan facility, when they were attacked by the claws of drogan. They were surprised and confused initially by the color and style of this warband, before drogan confirmed their suspicions. The battle started in earnest, with tailon swinging his power claws at the chaos forces, to buy time for the mortals to get into the titans and get them out. This was what drogan had planned on, with a cry he announced the signal and the scribes of templas unleashed the spell to turn this forgeworld into a demon world and began dragging it into the warp. This allowed more demons to walk the planet and fight the loyalists. only 2 titans escaped this nightmare, the maximus and the eternus. The rest were corrupted as the loyalists got off the planet.

Tailon would later realize it was the planet itself they were after, not just the titans. He stayed behind and confronted drogan for the planet.

3RD BLACK CRUSADE ACT 4: DUEL OF FATE

Talion and a few of his battle brothers stayed behind to finish this chaos lord,he has a feeling if they don't kill drogan now, they'll truly regret it. Talion raced forward through the mass of warp beasts, his brothers fighting to follow him. All that fighting they were to go through however, was halted when drogan told the demons to let the remaining 5 iron fang marines including talion, to come to him unopposed. They walked forward through the parted area, demons on either side. Talion was wary of this, but his brothers wasted no time in attacking drogan, not heeding talion's warning.

 

DROGAN VS 4 IRON FANG MARINES

 

Drogan smirks at the foolhardy actions of the 4, and unsheathes warp fang. The 1st marine to reach him, swung down with his chainsword roaring for the emperor. Drogan side stepped the blow, and plunged warp-fang into his back, and cutting to the side, destroying both the loyalist's hearts. The corpse slid to the floor as the other 3 decided to work together to face him. The first 2 used the distraction their brother's death to swing their blades at drogan. He blocked both with his sword, but the 3rd leaped over them ready to plunge his power sword into drogan's face. It was not to be, as drogan moved 1 of the fangs in the way of the shot, the strike killing the meatshield. Drogan then slammed the corpse and living marine into their brother. They were about to get up, when warp-fang went through both their skulls, instantly ending their lives. Drogan finally turned his attention to talion, and aimed warp-fang and motion for him to do battle. Talion readied his power maul for combat.

 

TALION VS DROGAN

 

Talion stood still at the sight of his brother's deaths at the hands of the chaos lord, then a great fury filled him and he charged forth, his power-maul at the ready. The 2 locked weapons, both trying to deliver a hit on the other. Through their battle, the 2 traded words as well as strikes.

 

Drogan: you've been - CLANG!- following my plans quite - SMASH!- well. more then i expected.

 

Talion: i'll - SLICE!- end you traitor, you and - CRASH!- your heresy!

 

The 2 backed away from eachother, preparing to strike again. All around them, the demons and chaos marines were jeering, and feeling of the planet being sucked into the warp.

 

Talion: has your gene-sire placed you to this, have the dragon shackled chaos?

 

Drogan: this is all MY will, my father was too weak of heart. He should have subjugated his brothers, instead of trusting them not to betray him. I will not make that mistake.

 

Talion:you're right. you're not a son of morpheus, his sons still had their principles and some honor.

 

Drogan roared and swung warp-fang, talion ducked as the blade burned away the top of his helmet. He then barreled into drogan, trying to kill him with his combat knife, but drogan was enhancing his own strength using the warp energy and forced him off. Talion slammed into a wall, only to look into the barrel of "dragon's maw" his last sight was drogan's demonic eyes as he pulled the trigger.

3RD BLACK CRUSADE : AFTERMATH

 

Drogan had successfully taken the forge world and it's remaining titans, and crippled 5 chapters of adeptus astartes of the "false emperor". He was hailed by other warbands to join his banner, his LEGION! He also met again with the warbands who joined him in this crusade. He gave the lunar fang, trading rights to the forge world that was captured, to the dire-wolves he showed them how to extract gene-seed from their primarch without fear of failure, to the scribes he gave a copy of talon vulgrim's teachings. The lords of excess however would not recieve such rewards, he tore their tongues out, and destroyed their nerves. They could never again feel anything, and with that they were tossed into the realm of nurgle to rot. Drogan himself now had the backing of more warbands from the other legions, and he would be more ruthless than his father.

REBELLION ERA - GLASSING OF LOTR

The homeworld of the thunderlord's primarch zeus. It was here that zeus learned to bend lightening to his will and where he recruits all his legionnaires despite starting with terran marines. His reasons for recruit only from his homeworld was that they knew the rite and could take it easier then any other. He had no idea that his legion was about to be dealt a grievous injury.

 

 

ABOARD THE BLACK ABYSS

 

Morpheus and his conspirators were making their way to terra, when morpheus handed none other than zivon the task of ensuring the thunder lords don't become a problem to the war effort before he rejoins them at terra.

 

Morpheus:i trust that you can get this done brother?

 

Zivon:it will be my privilege to deal with him.

 

Morpheus:good just make sure you're there when we assault the imperial palace. i want to end this war quickly so we can move forward and no longer be imprisoned by the lies of the emperor.

 

Zivon: hail morpheus the true emperor 

 

Morpheus:i am no emperor brother....not yet at least.

 

With that zivon set out to destroy the thunder lords quick and utterly, by targeting their home world. He knew that his legion would be needed for the battle at terra. and he realized that his sons would not be able to hold themselves from attacking the planet. He called upon particular squads and groups for this undertaking and put them under the command of his trusted equerry Ghul. Ghul would gather his brothers the primarch has chosen, and prepare to glass the planet.

 

ABOARD THE "RED RECLUSE"

 

Ghul was directing preparations for the destruction of the thunder-lords, and allowed a feral grin to appear on his face.

 

Ghul:prepare yourselves my brothers, we do our primarch, and the crimson king's will this day. we shall destroy the thunder lords!

 

Blood thirsty howls and cheers fill the ships as they prepare to annihilate their most hated cousins. All while the thunder lords had no idea what was happening. Ghul had finally given the order, let destruction reign.

 

 

ATTACK ON LOTR

 

Zeus was away on a crusade in a nearby star system, so as usual the terran marines were set to guard the planet while the lotr marines were sent to fight for their primarch. The main figure to lead them and quiet down the rumors that zeus favors the marines born of his own homeworld was voltaire, a terran captain. He was looked up to by both terran and lotr marines, believed with all his heart that the primarch did care for them.

 

volt: come now brothers, get those strikes faster, the enemy won't wait for you to learn to swing properly.

 

Voltaire was watching the new recruits, knowing they'll go to see battle while he remains to teach the next group. all their glories of the past left forgotten. A terran battle brother by the name of talos, made his way to voltaire to deliver his report.

 

Talos: brother captain!

 

Voltaire:what's the word brother? any change in orders?

 

Talos:no. i doubt he even reads them anymore if he ever did, and our brothers are getting restless. you know he doesn't -

 

volt:we've had this conversation before brother. he cares, i'm certain of it. he's our father, a father cares for their sons. the gilded demons taught me that.

 

Talos:they all lucked out more than we did. hmf... what's that in the sky?

 

Voltaire looks up as does every thunder lord, wondering what the hydra are doing here..and then the guns of the hydra open fire. The hydra legion was gunning down every man woman and child, all while shouting their primarch's name. The thunder lords answered in kind, chainswords roaring in the wind as the sides butcher each-other. Voltaire sent talos to go send a message to their primarch that lotr is under attack. Talos is reluctant but follows orders, running past the traitor marines he found, and began sending the message and defending the transmitter despite heavy losses. Eventually the thunder lords were all rounded up, and as they stared down the barrel of a gun, ghul appears.

 

Ghul: kill all the marines from lotr, and leave the terran ones tied up. their gene-lord won't care.

 

The hydras laughed at this painful truth, but voltaire denounced it, saying zeus cares for them all. They laughed even harder, and then began torturing voltaire in front of his brothers, all while he had faith in them, the emperor, and the primarch. Ghul even gave him a moment to call out for his gene-lord, when nothing came he laughed and put a bullet in voltaire's skull. His dying words were "forgive me brothers. i have failed you." and he died, with talos and others shouting his name. Ghul and his chosen teleported back to their ship to destroy the world, one of the captains reported that zeus was closing in on them.

 

ABOARD THE "THUNDER BIRD"

 

Zeus was frothing at the mouth at the attack on his home-world, demanding all guns to fire on the enemy as soon as they exit the warp. His rage was made even greater when he saw that it was hydra marines that were attacking.

 

Zeus: what!, all thunder lords, open fire on the hydra ships. some of you go down and scout out lotr, i want to know if anyone is alive down there.

 

The marines saluted and began their assigned tasks. The ships that opened fire on the hydra warriors, covered the dropping of the other thunder lord ships to pick up survivors.

 

Zeus:i bet zivon is mocking me there. full forced to that main battle ship. i want zivon's head on a plate!

 

THE SPACE BATTLE

 

The ships of both legions, blasted into eachother, recklessly. Guns tearing apart battle ships with centuries of service, now breaking apart under the strain. The machine spirits screaming wildly, with none louder then the "red recluse" due to the "thunder bird" stabbing into it's side. All around them, astartes killed astartes and no mercy or quarter was given. Boarding actions happened through out the battle, and the most important one, would be zeus breaking into the red recluse along with his honor guard.

 

THE RECLUSE IS BOARDED, AND THE FINAL FLASH COMES.

 

The thunder bird has smashed into the side of the red recluse, where a hole was burned to the inside of the latter ship. This unleashed the thunder lords and their primarch, right into the depths of the ship. Fire fights started all across the ship as the sons of zeus made their way to the command bridge. Meanwhile, ghul has contemplated why specific parts of the legion were given this task. Then it hit him, they weren't believed to destroy the thunder lords, they're being purged from the legion. 

 

Ghul:..we're a distraction...we're nothing but a sacrifice to halt zeus.

 

The door explodes and thunder lords swarm into the room doing battle with the equerry's guards. During this, zeus walked through the door and made way to him. He turned ghul to face him and looked him in the eye.

 

Zeus: where. is. zivon? (his god like eyes peering into the mortal ones of ghul.)

 

Ghul: (laughter) he was never here. he has no knowledge of what we've done.

 

Zeus:you killed my sons, and butchered my people!

 

Ghul: we didn't kill all of them, but then again. you never cared about the terran ones. just your precious lotr. butdon't worry, you won't have to see them anymore.

 

He used his psykic power to activate the glassing process, firing all guns on lotr. Zeus snapped his neck, and watched in horror as his planet was glassed.

THE TERRANS ESCAPE

 

The guns began burning the planet, all while the ships sent by zeus, found the terran marines that were wounded and broken. Only talos remained defiant, standing vigil over Voltaire's body. When all freed, the terrans rallied to talos and some helped him carry voltaire into a ship, and from there they began making their way to terra as everyone else got off-world. They were hailed by zeus, but they ignored it toll zeus forced a connection.

 

Zeus: why have you ignored my hails? i am your gene-sire!

 

Talos: why should we answer to one who has always ignored us? you have always favored the lotr recruits more then us. we all knew this, yet it was voltaire who kept the belief that you did care, that you loved us as well. He believed it all the way to his death, when the hydra captured us, and executed the lotr recruits, and then tore apart voltaire. he called for you, he asked you to help us, believing that you would! but you never came, he died believing he failed us. so go back to your sons, we're heading to terra, maybe the emperor will let us train to become custodes.

 

Talos spat each word with venom, as hot tears streamed down his face, taking up volt's power-sword and helm. They left through the warp, leaving a shocked and angry primarch behind.

 

Zeus:how dare the insignificant little speck, speak to me like that. follow him, i will teach him a grave lesson.

 

The lotr marines hesitated only slitghly as they thought about talo's words but heeded their lord and followed. This led them right to the battle for terra, and would begin zeus's changes.

(WAR ON TERRA, REBELLION ERA)

PRIMARCH BATTLE: ADONIS VS DRAKON

The siege on terra has begun, with marine slaying marine, and the unholy demonic forces descending on the world. In the midst of this, Adonis led his sons to war. Killing traitor after demon, rinse and repeat, all while looking for the one who was his closest brother. He would find him, ripping open a blue titan dreadnought and burning soul raven marines to ash.

Adonis: DRAKON! FACE ME BROTHER!

Drakon turned from his butchery to look upon Adonis. His eyes glazed and emotionless as ever.

Drakon: you wish to do battle Adonis? I will not show mercy to you. I’d have hoped to convince you to join us, but that no longer matters.

Adonis: you were my closest brother, we shared blood. And now by that oath, you will die at my hand alone.

Drakon: the same to you Adonis. I owe you that much.

The two square off, Drakon with his claws “prophet” and Adonis with his mighty sickle “Scorpio”. Their sons following them as they run at each other, baying for their brother’s blood. Adonis struck first, attempting to slice drakon’s head from his shoulders. Drakon blocked it with his right claw, and pierced Adonis’s side and slammed him into the soil. He then brought his claw down to kill, but Adonis grabbed it with his left arm and jammed Scorpio into drakon’s right shoulder. This caused Drakon to step away as Adonis stood up, ready for combat.

Drakon: arg. We’ll see how you fight when you’re blind!

He released the smoke from his gauntlets and bathed the surrounding area in it, masking his presence. Adonis took one step forward, then started coughing, and when he glanced at what of his sons he could see, he remembered with horror just what the fog does as he sees the rotting corpses of his sons. He watches the fog, waiting for the next strike and calling upon the ancients of his adopted world to aide him. Moments later Drakon struck, his claws ready to pierce Adonis’s hearts. Adonis spun and grabbed Scorpio that was still embedded in drakon’s shoulder and pulled it. This caused a great scar to go down drakon’s right arm, and his blood to gush to the floor as the poison stopped. Drakon fell to his knees as Adonis was about to deliver the final blow, then Drakon sprayed his eyes with the poison and would have killed Adonis, were it not for Morpheus calling the retreat. Adonis would recover during this period, to give chase after Morpheus.

PRIMARCH BATTLE - HADES VS TEMPLAS 

 

The soil of terra, is being soaked with the blood of countless warriors, as the legions wage unholy war. Hades has been leading his sons on the defensive when he received word of morpheus and some of his cohorts making for the palace. He quickly gathered some of his sons and ran to cut them off from reaching the palace when he was waylaid by of all primarchs templas. 

 

 

Hades: out of my way traitorous filth! i will not allow morpheus to reach the emperor!

 

Templas: shut up and DIE!!!!!!!!

 

Templas unleashed his psykic might as he ran at hades, his corrupted weapon in hand. He brought down on hades's skull, only to be blocked by pluto. Hades then, slammed templas to the floor and proceeded to stomp on his chest. Templas was being pushed into the dirt, when he grabbed hades's boot and hit him with his own weapon. This knocked hades back but he still stood tall.

 

Hades: you're not a warrior templas, never have been. go back to your scrolls and sermons.

 

Templas:i may not be the best fighter of our brothers, but i can still break you!

 

Templas rushed forward and just as hades swung pluto, he ducked and drove his weapon through hades's stomach and pinned him to the floor.

 

Templas:any last words, heathen!? (he raised his other weapon high)

 

Hades:just one word. NOW!

 

Templas only had enough time to turn, before being blasted off the walls of the imperial palace. Hades then noticed that morpheus had already got through, he made his way to follow, when he blasted off the wall to the battle below as well.

PRIMARCH BATTLE - EZIO VS INU

 

 

Ezio has spent much of his time defending the eternity gate from the traitor marines, demons, and other foul creations of the warp. His sons the "golden eagles" were smashing the traitor assaults on various fronts. He himself has brought low some of these so called "daemon princes", he is both impressed with their strength but disgusted how they gained and used it. He had just finished pulling his sword out of a direwolf dreadnought, when he spotted the forms of his traitor brothers. He zeroed in on shadius, the one who was and is unworthy to wear the symbol of the emperor. Ezio ordered some of his honor guard to hold the gate while he and the rest charge at the "fallen star". 

 

THE EAGLE STRIKES THE BRIGHT STAR

 

Morpheus was rushing to the imperial palace, shadius at his side when ezio barreled into shadius's side. Morpheus was not happy at this even as he batted loyalist marines out of his way. He decided on how to distract ezio from fighting shadius, he used his psykic powers to lift ezio off and toss him away. This led ezio right in the path of inu, primarch of the direwolves and daemon prince of khorne.

 

EAGLE VS THE FELL WOLF

 

Ezio quickly got to his feet upon seeing his rival."what have you become inu!" he shouted with horror and fury at the sight. Inu looked upon him with crimson red eyes, and roared as he charged at ezio. Words were worthless between them now. Ezio ran forward, his gunblade firing at the behemoth he once considered an honorable warrior. They barreled into each-other, the gunblade thrown from ezio's hands and leaving the two in a contest of strength. They used to be evenly matched, but inu was given a slight edge due to being empowered by the blood god. This caused him to grip ezio with both hands and break his back over inu's knee. The pain filled howl drew many golden eagles to abandon their fights and aide their gene-sire. Inu left ezio broken on the floor and proclaimed his victory as he kept heading to the imperial palace. ezio was dragged off by his sons to the nearest medical area for loyalists.

Primarch battle : Morpheus vs Pyros

It was early in the beginning of the battle for terra, morpheus had finally himself landed and began making his way to the imperial palace when his position was assaulted by marines of the fire angel legion. It seems their legion had survived mars, and have come to challenge him. He grinned when he witness the "phoenix king" run towards him and the sword he had crafted before sending pyros off, aimed to pierce his hearts. Morpheus parried the blow with Alduin, and knocked pyros back with psykic power. He sent his sons ahead to prepare the way, while he deals with his firebrand brother.

 

Morpheus: greetings again pyros, i figured you'd have more work on mars.

 

Pyros:this spear came in handy, as well as the sword you gave me. let me show you how effective it is.

 

Morpheus: tempting offer, but no brother. i'll ask you this once, as i still consider you my brother. step aside, you don't have to be a part of this.

 

Pyros: you drew me away with truth, but unlike you, and despite father's "failings" i shall defend him and the imperium. even from you.

 

Morpheus: so beat it phoenix king, come and face the dragon emperor! (draws alduin)

 

The two strode toward each other, a bond no longer between them. Morpheus struck first, dealing a quick jab past pyro's neck, nearly missing his flesh. Pyros retaliated, by jamming the spear in morpheus's hip, going right through so as to hold him in place. He then pulled forth the sword he was gifted by morpheus, for the purpose of beheading it's maker. He brought it down on morpheus's helmet, splintering it but that split second was all the "deceiver" needed. When the blow hit his helm, he blasted pyros away with a focused psykic attack. Pyros was sent hurling into mass of his own sons, before rising again like the mythical bird he's compared to. Morpheus wastes no time in calling charon to his location, while also keeping pyros at bay with warp fire and lightning. Charon later arrives on the scene via teleport homer.

 

Charon: this is what you called me for brother? the overgrown chicken?

 

Pyros: charon! you traitorous desecrator! have you no respect for the dead?

 

Morpheus: just deal with him,  while i make it to the palace.

 

Charon:it would be my pleasure.(he charges pyros)

 

Morpheus slips away from this, so he can conserve his strength to face the emperor of mankind.

PRIMARCH BATTLE: NEPTUNE VS ATLAS

The skies above terra ignited in bright flashes, each signaling the death of imperial or rebel force's last breath. It is here that Neptune feels the most at home, his flagship surging forth like a mighty tsunami against the loyalist mongrels. The lunar fangs were practically born and raised to pilot ships into battle, and the rumors of them plundering entire planets for recruits has been proven when so many of them poured out of the various battleships. Neptune had finally given the signal for his sons to land, and aide in the assault on the gates of the imperial palace. He himself was heading there to loot all of terra's most valuable treasures, when he heard the roar of the blue titan legion come charging at his forces. Atlas led them in the charge, his size aiding him in batting aside both dreadnought and deamon prince in his determination to defend the palace and all of terra. Oceanus was about to gun down the titan king, when neptune signaled him to instead keep reinforcing the assault on the gates. He then turned to face atlas who was almost upon him.

 

Neptune quickly dodged atlas's first swing, and parried the power axe that came after."so the big man wants to tangle with me eh? so be it" he headbutted atlas on his next attack and knocked him back. Atlas  quickly recovered and prepared his axe for this confrontation.

 

Atlas: you...all of you have killed so many innocents, turned the imperium upon itself, and have now bring war to terran soil.

 

Neptune: oh please don't act so high and mighty, many of the xenos we exterminated had only the crime of being non-human and you don't cry over them. we're not men, we're gods who shall rule the galaxy.

 

Atlas: we're warriors and brothers, i can sort of understand the gilded demons doing this, but why you? 

 

Neptune smirked, as he turned and fired his personal twin plasma pistol." I did this to plunder and pillage, as well as get revenge on the worthless falcon and his hatchling scum." neptune kept shooting at atlas, till he ran out of bullets. He attempted to reload while moving away, only to recieve a power fist to the face. Atlas is now beyond furious, and began wailing on the moon demon. Many accounts say that this should have been the end of the lunar fan primarch, that the lunar fangs would break and retreat. This was not the case as the next few moment would prove, neptune had reached out to the lord of change and using that power, sent a dreadnought crashing into the titan-lord. Neptune was then carried off by his sons, where he would heal till the dragon king summoned him to stand with him against the emperor.

In the glorious name of the emperor, i Julius Croxius shall impart in the following works , the nature of the sons of the emperor. In these pieces both those who stayed loyal to the master of mankind, and those who walked the path of evil. I hope in the the next few works, fellow imperial citizens shall be better informed as to these heroes and monsters of the age.

The first legion of evil i'll speak on is that of the one opposed to our very order.(aside from nonbelievers in the imperium) the warp priests, are corruption of the body but ones very soul. They are the once proud warriors who truly dedicated themselves to the ruinous powers and all things evil. Their faces are mirror reflections of their monstrous primarch Vlad templas. They sided with the DECEIVER in the great holy war, and now seek to bring humanity to the worship of those demonic gods. There is nothing noble about these beast, they willingly allow the daemons of the warp to possess them and fight under the banner of the warp gods.

The dire-wolves have left a blood-soaked path long before they fell to Khorne, they still had loyalty then. These animals are the attack dogs of the eight-fold path, more beast than man and extremely brutal. They butcher the strong and weak alike, nothing matters to them but blood and skulls. They're the beasts that chaos would make our heroes into, their gene-sire Inu and the strongest of the their ilk kratos, are the true heights of evil that can be ascended to in the service of the blood god. The former however hasn't been spotted in centuries, but the latter is just as monstrous. Beware the red butcher, and the claws of khorne.
