so if primaris are going to be eventually fully fleshed out, and in my mind after a bit, old marines and primaris will have access to the same vehicles

what stuff do you expect to see?

personally

transport:

- a Hybrid of a Stormwolf and a Repulsor ( looks wise)

- repulsor plating

- fly mode (18") and support mode for movement (10")

Access points

front

bottom

- The transport can insert its infantry almost like drops pods,

- The bottom hull opens and deploys the marines straight out the bottom, all at once.

- allow for lighting fast insertions ( they may charge, or perform overwatch the turn they deploy like this)

I think all primaris vehicles will be grav, all tracks will be moved towards astra miltarum

what are your thoughts on what else tey would get?

I also think primaris might get something AKin to the "seige tank" from starcraft.

a Heavily armored main battle tank, slow moving, with high damage to either a single target or a weaker shot to an area

infantry

- Melee, CQC Primaris

I expect to see a few things

A. Repulsor sheilds: storm sheilds + repulsor

B. either a larger centurion/terminator hybrid with inbuilt point defense system to protect his squadmates from being over run or it being a point defense system to protect itself

Primaris terminators would be very nice. Like that imperial fists artwork.

A primaris battle tank, with a different profile to the transport.

Melee unit.

If I'm really wishing I'd like snipers.

I think the first three have a fairly high chance of actualization. I've got myself, finally, after all the years I've collected warhammer, a display cabinet in which my primaris share space with my Stirland fantasy army. They are models that have put to shame my previously lovingly painted 400+ space marines; I just can't under the odd proportions on classic marines.

I'd love a hovering Sicaran style tank. A dedicated vehicle/monster hunter.

Terminators, not really a point imo as Agressors are basically the same thing. I'd prefer a fast, PA assault unit with high volumes of attacks.

Also, new weapon options for the Redemptors, eg: two twin Las Cannons.

It would be bad to lose the old transports.

I would prefer that some techmarien got his act together and made the seat adjustment to the rhinos and land raiders.

But the codex astartes do not allow such modifications.

Primaris are a lot more high tech in style, and will probably only have flying vehicles. Aldo the Rhino chassis, whilst iconic, looks really tiny next to the new Marines in my opinion.

Oh boy.

Give more Melee options:

Swords

Axes

Powerfists

Lightning Clawns

Thunderhammer

Stormshield

Vehicles need some love:

A dedicated transport, not a half tank half transport.

Flyer units (transport if we can)

Aggressors are a good idea poorly realised imo - the arms should be pointed forward, shooting, casings spilling out but the kit default is striding and it takes a bit of work to awesome them up. Terminators are cool not just because they are walking tanks but because they have options - it's an armoured suit and the marine can swing a mace, pick up a melta etc not just use the default set up. It's just cool.

I think theres two key ideas that are at the core of Primaris design, unit roles seem to be less generic and more specialized and the units are a mix of old marine units mashed together to create something entirely new, like Reivers are not exactly Scouts and very similar to Assault Marines while Intercessors are Jump Infantry that have the same role as bikes. In that vein I would like to see the following

Replace the Rhino with a Land Speeder chassis, 5 man transport capacity and have variants that replace transport with heavier weaponry so that its also a Predator equivalent.

Destroyers/Devastators, Gravis armored infantry but with heavier weaponry. One arm with a lascannon/grenade launcher and the other with a power fist. Primaris are in need of long range Anti-Tank.

What if Primaris Terminators filled the niche of Tanks? Imagine an armor bigger than Gravis and filled with guns, units of one and each with the firepower of a Predator. Maybe too similar to Centurions/Crisis suits.

Beside a close combat Redemptor variant Primaris do need more assault elements, with Bikes probably gone I honestly have no idea how you would add them while being unique so Im just gonna say Breachers with a single jet jump pack. No bolt pistol only chainsword and shield, or shield and shotgun.

I feel like that would be covered by other redemptor options before another armour type.

But they look cool.

Plus the whole "these are ancient relic suits of armor with centuries of history engraved in each battle scar" vibe that I love about terminator armor (and many other regular astartes wargear/vehicles) is lost with all the primaris stuff. I'm not against primaris marines, they're cool in their own way, but I'm losing the really cool archic vibes that really drew me into astartes when I first learned of Warhammer.

I think that the Primaris... inceptors? The shooting assault marines, are very well adapted to their rules (fly), where most assault space marines aren't (fly allowing you to disengage and then shoot again) but I'd like dedicated Primaris assault marines.

And a Gravis Armor terminator like unit.

Gravis armor shouldn't have a movement penalty (being next generation Tantaros).

The repulsors seem to be the next generation hybridization of predators and razorbacks where you can spend heavy slots on thunderfire cannons and devestators.

I'd just like for us to use old vehicles. Love the rhinos and SW longboats. Would also like terminators. Melee Primaris are a must. I feel as though DA/BA/SW/BT miss out on alot of their characteristics due to lack of melee. Additionally where are the flamers!? How can any good Salamander Primaris army be happy without flamers. Agessors have them so why not troop choices Primaris

Overlord Dropship.  Lets see it.  Its an official unit.  I want a legitimate Primaris Flyer.

Cheap(er) Transport.  I would like to see a cheaper transport than the Repulsor.  In Dark Imperium, in the Battle of Raukos, the Repulsors were described as being dropped from orbit onto the battle.  That is cool.  Lets see a cheaper Repulsor without the top turret (keep the heavy bolter) and give it a deep strike mechanic.  Whatever the case, a cheap, deep striking troop transport with the fly key word after it enters play.

Primaris Assault Marines.  Fast attack option.  Mark X armor.  Whole squad is armed with bolt carbines and chainswords.  Can purchase jump packs or boarding shields from 30k (with defensive grenades).  Hell give them the Reavers special grenades and remove the Reavers from the setting all-together.  Ok, you can ignore the last sentence if it pleases you.

Primaris Terminators.  I want this, a traditional squad of 5, with the option to give the whole squad thunder hammers and storm shields or lightning claws:

But they look cool.

Hmmm perhaps. I love the look of Tartaros suits, but the classic Termie design is a bit dated. I do like the new collectible models available in Japan however.

I don't want to see the same, non specialised units that comprise the normal marine range. Terminators aren't particularly good in combat or when it comes to shooting. If we get something that resembles a Terminator it needs to have dedicated shooting or combat capability and actually excel in those roles.
