The Bolter Conversion Thread

Recommended Posts

I\'m really fond of the mentor pattern bolters and am currently making loads for my storm ghost space marine chapter, and as soon as i get my camera back ill take some pics to share with you all.

I agree with Mr. Wolf, in that i like the SMG look, and think ill be making a load for my assult marines.

Talking about bullpoint rifles. What about the P90.

Also. has anyone made anything that looks like the G36k, I have one for airsoft and would love to also eqipe some of my marines with something that looks like this.

Has anyone got a pic of a sniper rifle, that is bigger than the standard one, as i want to equipe my scouts with a few of them?

Love the thread, and so glad to see it back up and running.

hi larundel, i did a Marine sniper rifle conversion awhile back, i thought perhaps it might help you somewhat as you were after a longer scout sniper rifle. this was made from parts of a Flamer, Boltgun, Lascannon scope and some tubing from a cotton bud.

Thanks for the inspiration guys. Was looking for more Bolter ideas for my Mentor Legion Squad.

For those hosting their pictures on photobucket (and similar sites) I would recommend making use of your B&C gallery space to host your pictures. That if your photobucket account gets scrubbed or goes inactive, people can still see your images.

Already in my log, but I figured I'd throw it in here too

It's a standard Bolter with enhanced targeting/Vid-corder array, made by carefully carving the targetting-array from the Missile Launcher nose-bit.

As I've got a lot of `modern` bolt guns but I'm doing a Great Crusade-era army I thought I'd see what I can do with them and, using the tutorial here, put together a Mk.1 bolt gun. I could've moulded a trigger-guard on it but I'll probably end up chopping off the pistol-grip anyway to have a marine hold it.

Wanting to make a mini that can have various primary weapon options and, since it'll be an officer, I was glad I kept the ornate bolt gun from the SM Command Squad set. To make it a little more unique I've added a wooden stock. Currently basecoated brown though the weapon itself will be gold (form over function!) with the stock of course done up as wood.

And it will be carried by this WIP servo-skull. Needs more wires and gubbins.

A combi-flamer made from a Rhino storm bolter with the right mag and barrel removed. The circle on the right side -where the right ejection port was- will be a fuel gauge. It's chunky but I like it. The pistol grip was added just for these photos: its going to be held my a model. Needs the flamer's barrel drilling out too.
