  1. The bare heads do remind me of this comic.
  2. Not being able to see Grimirs eyes is very comic book looking. Its also a good way to deal with the problem of painting eyes. I'm surprised no one has thought of it till now.
  3. What is the blue and white guardsman
  4. A Ferren Arios Novel? Two questions? 1. Who is Ferren Arios 2. Why are so many novels now "A Main Character" novel. Every book will have a protaganist- some might have a few. Soul Hunter wasnt "A Talos Valcoran" novel. I think the Word Bearers are bigger jobbers, but neither has been covered in Glory lately.
  5. That's a shame. It really stops creativity of authors if they can only use pre generated characters, units etc. Imagine if Dan Abnett had had the same constraints from the get go. No Tanith, no Blood Pakt, none of their friends and enemies. If 40k is reduced to whats on the tabletop then it's far far poorer for it.
  6. Maybe have a hall of fame section for Exceptionally good posts? I'm thinking posts like this or the Dornian Heresy or Maybe some particularly good models and images?
  7. Its almost two weeks and GW hasn't done anything. Normally they might show off the model shortly after it is leaked. Part of me hoped the original finder might make it and upload pics- that might make GW do something. However the finder hasn't posted anything since showing off the sprue.
  8. Just started on Space Marine by Ian Watson. The original 40k book- black library before there was a black library. I'm enjoying it. It's very imaginative. One of Black libraries strengths is that it's relatively easy to write a 40k story. There's so many building blocks out there already. People will know what a character looks like, what his motivations and personality are, what the world's look like, already. Watson had far less of that. Its a double edges sword- an author will also have a long list of things they can't do. Watson has a had a few things that a modern author wouldn't get away with. It makes the book seem surprisingly fresh.
  9. Why would that be stupid?
  10. Can't seem to find him on social media. I would have asked him if I could.
  11. I thought drop pods had seats?
  12. I'm working through Blood of the Imperium. I haven't seen much chat about it. Most of the stories so far haven't done much for me. I skipped the long and hungry road by Adrian Tchaikovsky as I've already read it, but it is excellent. There was one story so badly written that I couldn't get past the first page. I'm afraid to mention it on the off-chance the author is a frater here. Maybe it gets better, but the prose was awful and it was packed with clichés from the jump. I haven't seen anything else by the author before.
  13. I prefer the Google translate English name "Vagabonds of the void".
