  3. Thanks! slow progress, but some at least :) There will be no primaris marines in the army, so that will be a no-problem. The terminators I'm not sure yet, I will go for Tartaros and I do not know their exact size. I have a few Cataphractii and they are just a bit too short, so I think it should work out by increasing their body. The main problem, I see, will be the Sanguinary guards, so any suggestion will be welcome!
  4. Some progress at least... thought I take a picture of them before I start painting. As seen, I have stolen some DC bits for already basecoated modells Another 4 Tactical, one with a lascannon And another 4 death company To be continue...
  5. I bought some plastic card and extended it myself. I had never worked with plastic card before and it was not that hard. It did not end up as perfect as their kit, but with some practice with the plastic card and maybe a bit more care it can be done with very good result. If interested i can take a few pictures.
  6. Good question, where to start... The main objective is to build a semi-true-scale army, with low amount of tanks as my previous army has been kinda mechanised. With all the jump pack units I will get a fast moving army in contrasty to my slow moving Imperial Fist. Lets start with the tacticals, they should form a small squad for a home objective and with the lascannon still do some damage, they will be joined by the dread together with the jump pack captain for the reroll as well as some melee counter if needed. With the jump pack the captain can also move around quickly. They will be placed in some cover if possible to increase their change of surviving. The scouts will either screen the my lines against an alfa-strike or get some bord control and hopefully camp some objectives. The knight should form a good distraction and either soak up enemy fire or having a fun day killing stuff midfield. As I'm kinda low on range anti-armor and guns overall, so I plan for the Thermal cannon and gatling cannon. DC will be armed with bolters along with something like 2 PF and will deepstike with Lemartes with a good chance for a charge the same turn. This gives me some good tactical choices when and where I deploy them. Terminators, sanguinary guard together with the captain in TA (warlord for the SG's special rule) and the priest will form a 2nd wave assault and will focus on range damage the turn they deep-strike. Again, I can group them all up if needed or I can spred them out if I need bord control or take objectives. This should give me a flexible army with both range and melee power, I can stay back if needed and I can go all out attack too, and something between. That's what I hope at least.. So that my idea!
  7. Thanks! Yes, jump pack on the priest, both scout squads will have bolters and a heavy bolter, but that´s all up for discussion. That way I have 3 squads for camping objectives that should be left alone for some time but can still add some shots over a longer distance. And if needed I can screen with the scouts, they are kinda cheep. About 50/50 in reservs and on the bord, a lot of targets for the enemy if so needed, or I can spread out if needed as well. I just hope that the knight will survive the first turn as I guess that will be the main objective for anti-armor... well well.. I might start a building thread as well if I go ahead with this.. the odds is in blood angels favour right now :) we will see!
  8. Greetings! Some how I got lost from the Black templar and Imperial fist forum and ended up here... Anyway while i am here I tough maybe I should start a new army for this edition instead of just adding to my old ones. Pick up some new grey spruces and some resin and paint it all red instead! But before I dive headlong into this project I like to hear your thoughts on it all. For what I read here, people seams to be kinda happy with the new codex and I would like to play with jumppacks and terminators, as both was close to unusable last edition. I like to play good but "fluffy" list, so no crazy min/max but a good all around list with good looking models. So Blood Anges seam to fight quite right in... So question is, to build or not to build, a blood angels army with: The ide would be something like: Captain in terminator armor Captain with jumppack Lemartes Sanguinary Priest 2 scout squads 1 Tactical with lascannon Large squad of DC with jumppack Sanguinary guard Tataros Terminator squad Dreadnought with lascannon Knight Crusader (or 2 Sicaran battle tanks if the internet screams that the knight is ) ------- So what do the rest of you say, should I just find my way back to the templar forum or continue with this project!
  9. I have a soft bag similar to Battle foam, an "Armytransport" from http://www.saboldesigns.net/armytransport.html I have used that while riding a motorcycle without problem for me, the models or the bike. And to be fair, it did not go according to speed-limits either... So that kind of soft bag with some kind of foam should work for you on a scooter.
  10. In the light of the Emperor! Large non-edited picture And some more...
  11. 8th edition, here we come! And close up pictures
