So figure I place this here since this project will be covering multiple factions. The idea is to do as many Combat Patrols as possible using what I have or am getting via the Hatchettes’ lovely magazine collections or any of the other bundle boxes I get over the course of this.

Weekly Update #5

So now working on both the Ork and Chaos patrols at the same time cause the lining on these marines are causing me headaches.    I did get the Dark apostle, warboss (mostly), a boy and the Turox done.      I;m going to start placing magnets in the bases of these like I did with my nids so they will be easy to carry in the maglock system I have been swapping to.  Also planning to set up a sort of display later as I'm going to start working on my den

Hard Lessons

Got in a few games of Combat Patrol over the weekend. Local CP league seems to have cooled off, but still had a few opponents. The manager managed to rope in a pair of spearhead players (they forgot which sunday was spearhead/CP) into doing games since I had 6 with me that day. They choose Octavius and the Assault Brood. I took on the Tyranid player with Vengeful Brethren. Forward position was the mission of the day. Now my opponent plays Tyranids as well, so they had decent knowledge of the gam

Weekly Update #4

So no battle report this week. The combat patrol league is every other week at the local store.    So I started on the chaos marines. Doing a modified Black Legion scheme. I’m hoping to get these done somewhat fast. I haven’t gotten their scheme full worked out in my head. Culling the Horde

Was able to make it to the CP league at my local GW and got in some Combat Patroi over the weekend. Got in two games, one against a veteran and the second was a training game versus a new player.  Both games I rolled a die to decide which CP I would use of the three I had with me.    First up was a nid on nid bout. Weekly Update #3

Weekly Update #3   Ok, so going to swap the updates from Thursday to Monday cause CP league is on Sunday and it gives me the weekend to get more stuff done.    Right now nothing much. Guardians are done, will get picture after CP is done fully since it was just some minor fixes from last week’s picture. It might be a while since in double checking I can’t find the riders for two of the bikes. I don’t want to take from the new sprues, so will continue looking for a while longe

Weekly Update #2

So I wasn't able to finish the Eldar CP as I had hoped. Got too distracted. I did get the guardians mostly done. I just need to add some details and for that I need a new brush cause my fine detail grew a mohawk. Also need one to redo the cracks on the jetbikes. I’m picking one up tonight.   Here are some picts though of the eldar in their ice scheme.      You can see more of my eldar in this old thread.

Wanted to keep this a little active so will try and keep up with weekly updates.   Work continues on painting the FateBreakers, I have some details to do on the guardians and also found out I only have 1 unit of bikes actually done. So over the weekend I got in a game of Combat patrol with a new hobbyist. He was looking to get some experience in the game via CP and I was more than happy to help.
