Hi folks,
I have decided to refrain from painting anything 40k related for the next 30 days, until the launch of CtA25. yet, in the mean time, it does not mean I have suspended all hobby stuff. Models to be painted require being prepared and built for example.
In this vein, I had this Magus character from the GSC Combat Patrol left. And, as you might know, I do not play GSC (and/or pretend I do not hobby these lads neithers). What can I do with this model if it is not GSC?
Selling or swapping it revealled being an unsuccesful strategy, obviously. Obviously because anyone interested in GSC owns the model already. So what?
A quick inspiration search in th einternet pic vaults revealed interresting and easy conversions, kitbashing the lady magus into inquisitor, wytch... With all the bits left from my recent pointy ears projects, it looked like the way to go.
With her look of pin up on high heels, the base model is furiously close to the aesthetic of Yvraine. So I figured it could be a good base for an Ynnari priestess, i.e. a multi purpose model that might be used eitehr in Aeldari or Drukhari armies. For that I went to a model fitted with a spear, that might remind a singing spear and up class the girl as a farseer if needed. Rest were spare knife, head and accessory from scourges and raider crew, which make the link with a potential Archin if the model fall into the dark kin side.
Result? Here it comes:
As I also have other Aeldarii kits, I cut and glued the Wraithguards I am storing for a while:
These will be kits ready for pledging in the Xenos forum during CtA25 starting next month . I have more stuff for Xenos, so I can reach let's say about 40 challenge points atm. To be concealled.
See you with more stuff for this road to CtA25. in the meantime, as said, it does not mean I have suspended all hobby stuff. I also have WtOW stuff waiting to be painted and plastic card job in standby...
See you.
