Barely surviving his daring escape from the Chaos gulag world of Gharus XI, due to the interference of Warsmith Tarn and his Terminator retinue, the wounded Godwyn Bullroarer was dragging bleeding into the Webway by his Eldar Outcast compatriot, Niall Wayleaver. When they emerged from that labyrinth of subspaces, the two found themselves in no less danger, having exited the Webway on Fenris, home of the Space Wolves. There, in a isolated corner of the continent Asaheim, the injured Cyning was forced to undergo an impromptu Test of Morkai, suffering from the Cors Arawn.

Despite the odds, he survived to reach the Aett — a fact that earned the formerly aloof Vlka Fenryka's respect for the New Albian warrior. 

During his convalescence, the Cyning was thoroughly examined medically and interrogated by the Wolf Priests, who had long held their suspicions about the Greymanes' gene-seed purity. While Godwyn was reticent to, he had no choice but to confirm their theories — the Greymanes had, at great cost, attempted to 'hammer out' the Curse of Wulfen. Though this revelation caused no small amount of consternation amongst the traditionalist Space Wolves, Logan Grimnar himself calmed their ire. Had the Greymanes, he told them, not suffered with a curse of their own? 

"The marks might be different, but the struggle is the same."
 

Now bedecked in a new panoply of war, wrought for him in the Hammerhold, and wielding a rehafted Caladbolg, Godwyn seeks to bring justice to Tarn. Not just for his own pride, or for fallen Ferdiad, but for all who have suffered at the Warsmith's hands...
