Greetings fraters and sororitas!

 

   Welcome to the Unbound Flame blog! This is where I'll post stuff related to my main army for WH40K, the Salamanders! I might not be able to post very often, but this'll be where army lore, WIPs, and battle reports go. I'll try and keep it updated whenever I've got time and access to a decent computer. 

 

   This being my first blog on the B&C, and with my army of noble Salamanders already grown to a decent size even before I knew this forum was a thing, an introduction to the order of battle is, well, in order.

   This is how the army looks about now. The whole painted force, anyway : ) 

 

   This force is the product of about ... 7 years of collecting. A buddy introduced me to the game in 8th edition and I've been collecting these mean, green, fighting marines ever since. Very slowly. I'm poor - tough to build a hobby budget when you're a highschooler. Still, the Crusade for the Unbound flame currently checks in at almost 3,000 points (2880?) and growing! These guys have seen me through years of lonesome hobbying and are now enjoying plenty of tabletop time thanks to the game store that opened up a little way away :D

 

Anyway, altogether the Crusade for the Unbound Flame consists of:

   Aside from that I've got a couple WIPs: A Land Raider Redeemer, Brutalis Dreadnought, and a kitbashed & customized Terminator Captain to be my own version of Chapter Master Tu'Shan. I'll be sure to put up a post specifically about this project, but for now, here are a couple picts (they were only primed when I took these). Apologies for weird sizing, I'm gonna tone that down in future...

 

You've probably noticed a telling little phrase - the "Crusade for the Unbound Flame". Alas, I haven't got all my lore stuff together yet! Next post will contain the, um, explanation for that, along with plenty of other lore on this Salamanders force.
