So am I back from Indiana. I have to head back to move In-Laws into a Retirement Center, in a few weeks. And of course everything goes sideways at work moment I get back. So hobby time has been non existence. Silver Lining is LGS not get Saturnine until Monday, so I can get everything I need to do first i.e. my XIXth Legion and Exorcists Call to Arms Vows, that I have not started. And won't have time this weekend.
I did start on building one of My XIVth Legion Commanders, not sure w
Hit the throttle on the Wreckas last week. I've been painting pretty slowly this year all things considered, decided to change that with this project. Finished up free-hand on a few items, got the squigs painted up, did the bases and oil washes last week resulting in a final project I'm pretty happy with!
I dug out some of the leftover terrain bits I had from the sector imperialis/Chalnath terrain. I put a fine terrain paste around those bits and then put in some sand to act as larg
The Resistance have finally captured the war machines they believe they require to make their stand.
Brutus, the Malcador, reliable, dependable the spine of their battleline. She will not fail them. She will hold the line, her battlecannon roaring, her sponsons blazing as she paves the way for the Resistance's advance.
The Iron Duke, his twin Earthshaker cannons blasting holes in the enemy's fortifications. He guards those retreating and the wounded behind his massive blast shield
Hi Folks,
Today’s blog entry is a little bit specific as it deals with something different from my usual inputs: instead of reporting hobbying progress, I will talk about a trail I did for a new technique (à la TITH – i.e. something that is not new in general but new for me).
The technique is often reported on purpose of adding details and create battle damages or war-torn marks on miniatures. But beyond painting damages, the sponge might be used on purpose of

It is finally, finally warm enough to prime some miniatures. For now at least. Among this weekend's batch were five Assault Terminators and the new Vulkan He'stan. My kitbashed Tu'Shan also got a touchup; I'd removed the flames from his hammer which necessitated a bit more spray on the weapon. Just wasn't happy with the sculpt. I'm still new to doin
"Hate your enemy. There is no room for compassion in the prosecution of the enemy's destruction. Strive with every iota of your will and strength to see him destroyed. Slay him and cast down his works without mercy. Only when every corrupt work is destroyed and the ashes of his body float on the wind, only then can there be compassion. Hate the enemy who yet lives. Reserve your pity for the dead." - Chaplain Ur'Venn, attached to the Salamanders 4th Company, Purging of Clovis' World -

Greetings fraters et sorores!
Well, we've established what I said in the first post, namely that I won't be able to post very often. I just didn't realize it would be four months...
So, let's pray to the Emperor that that's not a precedent for things to come.
Fortunately, this tardiness does not correspond with a massive backlog of project upd

Greetings fraters and sororitas!
Welcome to the Unbound Flame blog! This is where I'll post stuff related to my main army for WH40K, the Salamanders! I might not be able to post very often, but this'll be where army lore, WIPs, and battle reports go. I'll try and keep it updated whenever I've got time and access to a decent computer.
