Showcase: Terrain, Scenery, and Fortifications

Pics of some of the terrain my group plays on. Our terrain gets recycled and repainted quite frequently but we never put unpainted work on the table.

Forgeworld's mystic terrain foresaw the future because contrast paint was made for these models.

Moving to the urban setting where we play most of our games, here's some pregame shots.

That's an enviable terrain collection. The Imperial statues are very well executed.

Thanks @Corswain

I love how the statues turned out. It was quick and easy

  1. base spray - I think we used the retribution armor, but it may have been third party
  2. heavy wash with agrax
  3. using a large brush, place Nihilakh Oxide in the recesses
  4. before it dries, use a paper towel to quickly remove most of the oxide
  5. spray varnish

thanks again for the kind words.

Impressive collection of terrain!

Love it.

May I ask where that robotic arm is from?

dude, thats some mint terrain, there's nothing like playing on a sick looking board for some deep immersion. 2 full painted armies on a full painted and set up board is just pure win.

I'm starting a similar project to this, however terrain is as expensive as the models, and there's not many good kits out there anymore.

Secondly; FB marketplace or Ebay terrain is also a rarity. As people sell armies but hold onto the terrain.

But having legit quality GW terrain is amazing, and also have it uniform to match makes it feel like it belongs together.
