A hobby outline

Ok... I don't normally do the whole WIP thing, so this will be a learning opportunity for me. Anyway.

This is my current plan for the Shrikeborn as far as gaming goes. This is definitely more of a theme/narrative/fun army, so I'm not going to be looking at any sort of meta list, just make my fluffy guys in-game legal without too much fuss.

The List - Pactbound Zealots Detachment (all Night Lords will be Marked Undivided)

Stained Lord Tovach Carraw

Chaos Lord w/Jump pack - twin lightning claws

Headsman Kordesh

Master of Executions

The Dirgebound

Chaos Terminator Squad - 4x Accursed weapon and combi-weapon, 1x Accursed weapon and heavy flamer

1st Chosen (name forthcoming)

Chosen Squad - 1x Powerfist and plasma pistol, 1x Paired accursed weapons and plasma pistol, 2x Accursed weapon and combi-weapon, 1x Accursed weapon and bolter

2nd Chosen (name forthcoming)

Chosen Squad - 1x Powerfist and plasma pistol, 1x Paired accursed weapons and plasma pistol, 2x Accursed weapon and combi-weapon, 1x Accursed weapon and bolter

Gloamclaws

Warptalons - 10x Warp claws

Virex Clade

Raptors - Champion w/Accursed weapon and plasma pistol, 4x Chainswords and plasma pistols, 5x Chainsword and bolt pistol

So, to make this happen I have a few models in mind/incoming. Those bits are-

Etsy lightning claw bits, HH Traitor Overseer Consul, HH Traitor Herald Consul, 5 HH Night Raptors, 5 HH MkII Assault Marines, 10 HH MKVI Assault Marines, 5 HH Contekar Terminators, Nemesis Claw kill-team, various HH Night Lord pauldrons/heads and then jumppacks/lightning claws/chainglaives

I have a couple of things that I'm going to use to make the "plain" marines more Night Lord-y, in this case I recently got some 1mm jewelry chain that seems perfect and I have some worbla thermal-plastic sheet that will make decent skin patches.

To create-

Lord Carrow - HH Traitor Overseer Consul base. Add jumppack, Herald Consul unhelmeted head. Right arm replace open hand with chainglave, left arm replace with etsy claw. Add on a lot of chains to the model.

Headsman Kordesh - HH Traitor Herald Consul base. Replace head with Nemesis Claw hooded head, add Nemesis Claw skincloak backpack. Replace right hand with something else, maybe pointing hand? Posssibly adding of chains/worbla skin

Dirgebound - HH Contekar Terminators base. Use volkite options for combi-weapons. Models are already chockful of chains/skin, so no need to add in stuff.

Chosen - Nemesis Claw base. Powerfists will be denoted by the chainglaives (one of which will be the chainblade with a lengthened hilt). Pretty much good as far as adding stuff.

Gloamclaws - MKVI Assault Marines base. Mix in etsy and mkVI lighting claws, helmets will be mkVI NL heads and/or Night Raptor heads. Lots of space for adding skin trophies and chains.

Virex Clade - mix of MkII Assault Marines and Night Raptors. Plasma pistol marines will be marked by two-handed weapons, either chainglaives or two-handed chain axes. MkII will have trophies added on and maybe different helmets.

So that is the plan that I've worked out in my head, and partially purchased. In transit I've got the bits for Carrow and the Virex Clade, also half of the Gloamclaws and most of Kordesh. Still need the termies, another 5man mkVI squad, and the Nemesis claw for everything to come together, but I think I have enough in the air to get started on it. And at least one thing has arrived, my claws from Etsy, that I think turned out great. Thanks for looking, next should be a couple of short lore posts before I get the rest of my various shipments in and start hobbying!
