So when the release of the primaris line in 2017(?) I was on board unlike some people. I remember seeing the Horus Hersey 32mm MkIII models at my local gaming shop and saying "Man, these guys would look great for 40k". Was the release of the primaris the best way to go at the line refresh? Well hindsight is 20/20. It got me to start an army. 

When I started the Loxodon Guard, one of the first purchases was the Deathwatch Combat Patrol box. I think I mostly wanted it for the Apothecary and the Intercessors, the Lt and the aggressors which just bonus. I also loved the Blade Guard Veterans when they came out. I loved the cool shields and while most of the Primaris line was a more modern interpretation of a modern army. The Blade Guard Vets were a call back to the Teutonic knights that was apart of the original design. So here are the battle line Intercessors, and the elite Blade Guard.

Squad Sabre. The first 5 guys I started with. I chose the load out of the Sgt. plasma pistol and chainsword most because I had the bits around. I now I have all Intercessor Stg equip the same.

Squad Zulu Part 1: So like the intercessor squads I gave the Stg. differential gear. In this case the Blade Guard Stg gets a Neo-Volkite pistol.
