So past 2 Months my 12 Month of Hobby vow was for my Adepta Sororitas. I did the initial vows and last month I did complete the Kill Team Campaign model as well, but I just am not feeling painting Adepta Sororitas.  I will continue the Kill Team Campaign, since it is only 1 model a month and next month that maybe the only model that gets done as out of town 16 of the 31 days of May. So it would be hard to paint more than that anyways. 

  So I am going to start vowing my Howling Griffons. But first off I think I need to explain why I am so fascinated by the Howling Griffons.  I have been playing 40k since 1997 at the end of 2nd Edition and my first 2 armies were Space Wolves and Sisters of Battle. During 3rd I would build Black Templars, as The Space Wolves did not get a codex yet and some would become Dark Angels, as they did get a codex and I grew tired of Black Templars. Eventually I would return to Space Wolves when their codex was released. What do these armies have in common, Black Templars and Space Wolves are Melee armies. Black Templar and Dark Angels are Knights.

  From 4th to 7th editions I played Crimson Fists. A very tragic yet honorable army.  I eventually built an all Scout army that was Olive Drab in color. Because I wanted Tactical marines. Eventually I would build a Grey Knights army and then revisit the Scout army that I did not realize I was playing Raptors and actually played Raptors this time around. I would eventually part with them, as I usually do with my armies that are not Sisters or Grey Knights. I have tried to build other Space Marine armies and never got very far, outside of a few painted models and bunch painted.  Playing and building Grey Knights made me miss having a space marine army. So I decided on building the Unofficial Grey Knight Successors, later the redacted to be Rogal Dorn's lineage (). And my favorite armor of the Mk X series is Phobos. Outside of the Grey Knights all Crimson Fists, Raptors, and Exorcists are Successor Chapters. Raptors and Exorcists fought in the Badab War, which my local gaming group usually fights on or near the Maelstrom for some reason, Khymara to be more specific. Raptors and Crimson Fists have suffered catastrophic losses. 

 Well 11th edition is coming soon, and well I have Marines ie lots of Terminators I don't want to use in my Exorcists.  So I like warrior chapters (Grey Knights, Space Wolves, Black Templars). I like knightly chapters (Grey Knights, Black Templars, Dark Angels). Fought in Badab War (Raptors and Exorcists), Have colorful schemes (all of them). Enter the Howling Griffons. For the first time in a long time I am excited about building marines. Plus I do like the Camo Scheme.

My vow for April is my Terminator Ancient and 4 Scouts.
