So a while ago I bought a few escher kits with the idea to make up a couple Astra Militarum squads, and a command squad to lead them, one of the local forces that often gets summoned up into the Armata Strigoi willingly or not when a large miltary forced needs to be mustered, whether it's to crusade yet another semi-independent border world into full imperial compliance, or to defend against an intrusion. Violent Violet is a frequent recurring character for many games I've played, whether that's a bad*** fighter chewing up the competition in wrestling/fighting games that allow you to create your own character, as a fighter/barbarian type in rpg's or the leader of rough and tumble squads in games like battletech.

Anyways, I've finally built them out over the past week, a total of 27 figures. They'll be using Krieg rules with Violet herself using the new custom crucible heroes rules. Here in 40K she makes the appearance as the leader of Violent Violet's Violators, one of several small companies scraped together from the various penal colonies in the surrounding systems. The Violators are all members of what once was a a vicious prison world ganag, currently featuring only ladies, but other recruits may come in the future, they are all built from eschers with a few bits and bobs added from other ranges to vary hairstyles, posing and to add the medipacks and vox boxes and other such stuff that a guard squad needs to function. The sole exception is the Commisar for the command squad, who is a victoria mini's resin fig I scooped up at a local tournament's garage sale for $10 bucks. She's gone native as it were, dressing and styling herself to fit in the rest of Violet's punk rocker crew.
