Why in the name of Terra do we have another Dark Angels blogger?

The creation of this blog rose from a simple need. Though the hobby can be enjoyed alone, in my opinion, it is best experienced as a community. Laboring over a Repulsor tank from new on sprue to final highlights is a rewarding process, but having someone who also understands the hobby to share that progress with is very important [1]. Reading through an incredible Black Library novel is great for learning more about the grim dark universe while also escaping from our own world, but being able to discuss the lore developments with others is arguably even more fun. To make a long story short (and perhaps state the obvious), the hobby is better as a shared experience.
Thus the purpose of this blog is to share the evolution of my Dark Angels army, "The Order of the Broken Arrow," with others who share a similar passion for Warhammer [2]. It is an opportunity to share what I've learned and how I've grown as a hobbyist, and also a chance to improve myself by observing and interacting with other talented hobbyists. Though the focus of the blog is on slaying my pile of potential, I also plan on sharing information about my hobby journey and post reviews on lore related to the Dark Angels and the Unforgiven. And finally, if nothing else, it will serve as a chronicle of my work and a motivation to continue hobbying, despite all the other responsibilities competing for my attention [3].
So if you have made it this far, thank you very much for reading and attention, and heres to future posts to come!

[1] The emphasis really being on a shared understanding of the hobby. One of my favorite stories comes from sharing a WIP picture of a Bladeguard Veteran with my brother-in-law. The body alone took a solid painting session to shade and highlight (Deathwing colors are finicky!!), never mind the sword, shield, and green robes/imperialis. Yet when I showed him the picture, he didn't complement the somewhat subtle bone blends I managed, or the complementary color choices I chose for the tilting shield. He thought the Army Painter grass tufts with snow flock on the base was the most amazing thing he had ever seen. I thanked him for the kind words and tried my best not to cry!
[2] A separate entry will cover their lore in more detail.
[3] As those responsibilities generally consist of my two cats, wife, and family, I would appreciate y'all not telling on me!
