Fairly easy paint schemes helps a lot.

Update on my plodding along vow for the Night Lords Knight "Lupus Nox". There is some progress!

Don't be too hard on yourself, though! Your quality and pace of progress puts people like me to shame. In a good year, I get to paint around 30 minis and dare to think that's a good result :D I find painting >20 quality minis in a month to be a superhuman achievement.

Have been sick so I kept forgetting to take a picture but I did finish my genestealers:

I, bouargh, join the 12 Months of Hobby Challenge, and for the month of September pledge to complete 1 fragdrill (part of the plodding along) and 1 container by month's end.

Sadly it should have been the full 25, but I just lost hobby mojo for the last week. I'll get the rest done, just might need a small break from the WB scheme before finishing them off.

3 tanks complete. I'll take better pics for the CtA. I've been very slack on the painting front recently. Hopefully I'll get some mojo back now these are fine and finish the other grey knights.

@Lord_Ikka This completion is just amazing. 22 out of 25 is a truly amazing result.

Going to continue the second part of my August vow - I, Lord_Ikka, vow to paint for the month of September the following: 1 Terminator Lord, 1 Master of Executions, 1 Warpsmith

Finished 22 of 25 pledged for August- 2 Obiliterators, 5 Termies, 5 Havocs, 5 Chosen, 5 Legionaries. I will continue the Termie Lord, Master of Executions, and Warpsmith in September.

After a long hiatus, I, Brother Christopher, rejoin the 12 Months of Hobby Challenge, and for the month of September pledge to complete 3 Plasma Specialists Hellblasters by month's end.

Finishing demolition man really made me want to finally have the whole last chancers kill team done. So for the month of September I vow the last three members : Ox, Scope and Animal As well as a grot and snotling base to count as a bomb squig for the Kommando kill team, they are separated for now for ease of painting. And a terminator librarian to whom I added a lighting effect this afternoon.

Well, I don't know what I'm going to paint in September, the summer heat has broken into storms and the autumn migration is starting so I might be out and about more than inside taking cover and the current state of GWs games is an ever increasing drain on my enthusiasm (between HHv3 and 40k 11ed, both games have got further from being regularly playable for me). I've got a couple of non Board projects chugging along (Baron's war and Old World), so I'm going to go for a spread of ideas and see where what little motivation or inspiration I can drag up for the grim dark takes me. Built (or sub assembled) and sprayed, with the hope of finishing at least some models in September: -Blood Angels Leviathan Dreadnought -The Servitor Kill team -The Nid snakeymonster kill team (Ravenors, Ravagers, I dunno?)

Ah, well it turns out as I gave up on the LI content of my July vow, I also forgot that I was ggoing to post my August after I finished it so I never did... Oh well... I had intended to paint the second half of my breacher squad for HH and some Sabres & dreadnoughts for LI, but LI has gone into the 'nope' pile until I either find a black paint that replaces old formula vallejo model colour or GW fixes the game to the point it's worth even trying to bother playing, so I only painted the breachers. Yes, the Sgts head is a little wonky, this is because it's held on with blu tac as I might replace some parts with Legion specific alternatives later and that's one of them.

September is open for those wishing to get a jump on their vows

August vow complete, I enjoyed getting this guy painted up. Still working on my CtA vow so will probably not have another vow this month.

Well I'm rather diappointed in myself for my lack of content here but I'll keep pushing. I, Brother Argent, vow for the Month of August to complete: 10x Termagaunts 1x Ripper Swarm 5x Barbgaunts 1x Heresy Space Wolf Guy 1x Necron Cryptek I'll get pictures up soon but yes, I'm trying to finish my first CtA vows. About a month and a half after I intended.

August I, Reclusiarch Jolemai , embark on the 12 Months of Hobby Challenge, and for the month of August pledge to complete 1x Spartan Assault Tank by month's end.

I was planning on doing him next month as the demolition specialist for the kill team. But I have nothing better to do this afternoon and didn't feel like painting a marine, so I might as well vow him this month

I'm not sure I'll have time to work on more minis this month, but I'll try to at least do this little grot, my very first green skin.
