40K Storm Eagle Kitbash
I hated the pregnant tadpole look of the storm raven when I first saw it. Then I got around that and decided it needed a horrible amount of kitbashing to make into a a viable troop transport, as the marines have never had anything more than a Thunderhawk for flying transport. So when I saw the Chapterhouse Tru-Scale upgrade kit, I went for it. It came out nice. I have to say, I'm pleased with how stable and sturdy it is, (and halfway square too) It sits on its stand level as well and I have been expiramenting with several weapons options for it. I have gone crazy with magnets lately and am in the process of retrofitting pred door sponsons and quad heavy bolter mounts that come on and off.
Its a work in progress as I have four of them to complete and I'm not entirely done with the prototype yet. I still have to find a way to magnetize the wings so they are removable for stowage and not take up a huge amount of room in my army transports.
