whiteraven17708 6 Posted April 3, 2014 I downloaded the file from here http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/files/file/320-disciples-of-caliban-decal-sheet/ then I sent the file to josh @ jmuma@bedlamcreations.com he was a little slow, took about a month, but he also had to convert and design it, I got a 8 1/2" x 14" sheet of multiple sizes completely covered, tell him its the same sheet that he did for Scott Clark, he said he would keep it on file. I apply with micro sol and micro set and I couldn't be happier with it. They are a bit hard to work with simply because of the shape, the sword breaks easily, i think i have lost 3-4 decals so far because of that, but that's mainly the design of the logo. but I have A LOT of decals on that sheet, which is good because I am working on 3 full companies lol so I ordered a lot, he may print you out a smaller cheaper sheet. I believe I paid around $60 for it? but that was also design time included I want to say he told me the next large sheet was going to be around $40, but again ask for a smaller sheet and you'll probably get a cheaper price, unless of course your working on a company yourself lol. side note, I purchased the print your own sheets with intentions of making my own, the problems I ran into were two-fold 1) you can only buy white sheets or clear sheets, clear sheets are no good as my printer (as are 95% of printers out there) doesn't actually print white. 2) the white paper was no good as its solid white, I would have had to print off the shape of the icon in a outline, then trimmed all the excess white off, and with this particular logo I felt that would be extremely time consuming, not to mention the fact that now you have a outlined lion instead of a pure white one, I tried a green outline, but I could never get the green to match the green on my shoulder pads
whiteraven17708 6 Posted April 3, 2014 Have ya done any yourself yet? I have 300 models plus supporting vehicles and characters to do and I at like 27 lol I always interested to see how other people have done them
matthew.youngatl 0 Posted April 3, 2014 You are totally fine. Also what do you rely on most to make your army shooty
matthew.youngatl 0 Posted April 3, 2014 Also why not do the standard terminator scheme for dark angels?
matthew.youngatl 0 Posted April 3, 2014 I have done spray paint for my terminators and finishing up my 2 10 man tactical and a devastator squad. I'm can't decide if I should get a scout squad or a razorback.
whiteraven17708 6 Posted April 3, 2014 For shooty I run a Banner of Devastation, its almost a must have for me, I like tacticals with bolters, throw in a plasma cannon or missile launcher, I like assault cannons or plasma cannons for my termys, land speeders are awesome as well with their mobility, I am a very big fan of the vindicators. The color scheme of the Dark Angels 1st and 2nd companies is only for the Dark Angels themselves. I cannot remember where it is for reference but the successors do not change their 1st and 2nd companies colors from their scheme, if you want to then by all means I have seen it both ways. I think a army should have a uniform look, I think they look better that way, If you'll notice my apothecary has white cloth on him but the same armor color, I plan on doing that throughout the army, using the same colors for the armor, but the robes/tabards will be the color of their office, librarians blue robes, chappys black robes, (the one chappy I have done didnt have any robes on him) techmarines red robes, etc. etc. My suggestion would be for the razorback, but the scouts are good for infiltrate, snagging the early objective. But I would say razorback first. it comes with enough bits that you can make it as a rhino AND razorback so you can switch between games
