DA player Most Space Marine armies are fine for me to kill. DA work as a powerful anti-elite army that either outflanks and shoots other elite armies or out-lives them. The problem is the entire of 9th edition has been built to kill elites (hence Space Marines tumbling win rates). Every other army can punch up better than Space Marines can punch down.

Well it depends! Command squads generally TH/SS as small and there to absorb shots Termie squads- either all dakka and PF with one-two TH/SS or all lightning claws + one TH/SS and add CML as you like If pure walking up the board, 10 man TH/SS squad to take the hits

They're ok, but if you're going full competitive you don't run them. Too much of a point sink.

Space marines are actually really well balanced. They’re good and you can win any game with them. But it’s not automatic and they can no longer do too much obscenely broken stuff. They’re a good A tier army which suffer from being very popular and also everyone geared up to kill them for the last 18 months so most lists automatically have a way of killing them

I think DS is kinda done with the loss of 6 inch drops. Small boards make 9 inches easy to screen out. Big blob of terminators or BGVs with right support moving across the board are gonna be annoying (read- possibly broken) to shift

The loss of combined assualt is good for balance. It removes a big power spike that would have made us truly miserable to play against. We're very strong still. We'll see if we can stand up to quins, daemons, sister and necrons

I think itll be hard to make a bad dark angel list now

We might actually be broken. BGVs getting inner circle is obnoxious

Also lore-wise remeber that Azrael is no fool (as confirmed by Luther himself). He's even said that DA's paranoia and mistrust has been holding back the chapter. Primaris are here to stay, they'll be allowed to prove themselves and earn their ranks.

I think we need very little in terms of keeping us competitive, we're likely top tier. I'd like us to stay good but not miserable OP. Give us some fun deathwing/ravenwing stuff. Some fun things with interogator-chaplains as well

Yeah this whole idea that it's busted I think is a bit off. If terminators were to be run, prior to this coex, tyou'd be spending 2CP to transhuman them every turn they were on the table and you could anyway. It's very strong, but doesn't increase the kill potential of a model and that's usually what breaks games. You could very easily ignore and run away a set of terminators once they're on the table.
