    Bulldog Titan Build

This album documents the building of the "Bulldog" Class Warhound Titan that was designed on this forum.
  3. It sounds like a good enough idea, the only thing is that if you really look deep into the Ad Mech they would not be likely to use a SM Chapter. Yes, if the Steel Confessors thing is true fluff that might be one sole connection. See, the thing is that the Ad Mech and the Imperium, while working together, don't trust each other. You have factions of the Mech Cult that don't believe in the divinity of the Emperor and some that do. The ones that believe in a seperate Omnissiah literally tolerate the Imperium as nothing more than a treaty of war and want nothing to do with the use of Imperium vehicles or troops for that means. The second thing to think about is the fact that the Ad Mech in no way trusts the flesh. This is shown by the Iron Hands and their use of augmetics and close relationship to the Ad Mech. They have adopted the same thing, if we can repair wounded with better parts we are going to do it. So if you were to do a chapter this needs to be shown in it. While they may use gene-seed to create these warriors they are going to augment and upgrade them from the flesh. Thirdly, if you really look into it, some of the Ad Mech troop units are so dang fierce that they have no need for SM Chapters. The Ad Mech breeds and designs their warriors to be the biggest, baddest bastard child on that battlefield. And the thing is that if they were to put together a force to do that, they would do so with their own men. Invulnerability and speed of SM forces or not, the Mechanicus (in fluff) only trusts themselves really...they only tolerate the Imperium and what they do for them. However, fluff aside, if you were wanting to play with the Ad Mech storyline I think that would be a good way to do it. However, if I may so suggest look up the Tempus Fugitives Cult Mechanicus Codex. Excellent work, and if you play with friends or something a very solid homebrew codex to use. My friends have all approved it over the old Huckleberry list. It is nice and easy to use, solid units and a lot of fun. It doesn't give you lots of fluff but it gives you what you need to play a sweet army. If you are thinking of investing in a force, and you're thinking of Mechanicus you need to look at that codex first to give you an idea of what they are capable of. Have fun and happy gaming, F-C

    Steel Crusaders

My display case shelves showing all of my completed Steel Crusaders in at the hobby store. I also took some single shots of my Baneblade final project. Please keep in mind it was my first major mod aside from swapping hands and things. I think it turned out really good. Everything is removable including the barrel so I can make it any variant of super heavy I wish. The only down fall is that I only get to take one onto the field.

    Warhound Build

  7. I found this one this afternon since work was a little slow today. Defiler Knight Titan Also built out of a defiler but I thought the expanding of the legs really gave it a lot better look then others I have seen. The more I find myself trying to design a Titan for building the more I find myself NEEDING a good set of rules for it. I honestly have found nothing that seems like it would be even close to GW standard. One I found had an armament stronger then a Warhound on less points and a smaller frame. If anyone has a link to some solid rules that have come up it would be extremely helpful. It would help greatly when trying to design something that would look like it would carry the weapons it can take...Anyways, keep passing on the suggestions, I am filing them away in my feeble little mind! 8. After I get these two warhounds up and painted I am going to be building a couple Knight class Titans. From what I have read up on, scale wise the Knight should stand about 8-9" in height. I have found a few experimental rules here and there but nothing too solid (any assistance on that would be helpful too). From what I have decyfered from other forums and websites is that there are different models within the Knight Class. My hopes are to do the same thing I am doing with the Warhounds, make one a troop destroyer and the other a ranged killer. With what I know about Knight Class titans they only have one crew member, keeping the cockpit smaller then the Warhound. A lot of design reference also points to longer, gangly legs. When I first started studying them my first thoughts went to something like an oversized Dreadnought almost. The would be about 3 times the height or a normal dreadnought model. I have seen some excellent work done with the Defiler model but in my opinion (for what little it's worth) there is not much you can do with that model and not have it coming out looking like you used it. I am thinking it might be better to scratch build the Knight class for the army, looking for opinions on that matter. If not a complete scratch build what would you use for a starter model? Any help, comments, suggestions, photos, information is greatly appreciated. I have some time before I am going to be ready for these to be built but I want to do design work ahead of time if I am going to have to scratch build them. Thanks, F-C
