Right. So. I've left my army at uni, but me and friends are meeting up tomorrow night for some games, I'll have access to 2x know no fear, potentially plus a rhino. Bare bones that's 1000 points plus the rhino. I've never played or properly looked into space marines to the point of building a list before, is there anything I can work with here? I'm obviously I'm rly limited on options, I'd appreciate recommendations on which chapter/custom chapter rules to run (some are painted as smurfs, some as mantis warriors, some as blood angels, and the rhino is pallid hand death guard), relics, wlts, squad wargear etc - I think my tactic is basically rain bolter fire on anything that moves since I've got so many boltguns, but I don't want to trawl through the codex plus supplements to find the best fit I'll be playing death guard (likely harbingers or ferrymen), t'au sept t'au, and black legion if it makes any difference List of units for anyone who needs (not sure which wargear to run): 2× gravis captain 10x intercessors 10x hellblasters 6x inceptors Rhino - I know I can't run primaris in this dw, it's only on the list because it's something I've got access to Thanks

Hail Brothers of Fenris! I'm entirely new to the idea of list building, but have been a long time lore enthusiast, and shorter term painter all things considered. I've been shifting back and forth between what I've wanted to paint my primaris force as for a long time now. I've painted and tested many models, most recent of which were some lovely Doom Eagles, but with all the fuss regarding the new Psychic Awakening I've been reminded of the reason I got into 40k in the first place: the Space Wolves. The first 40k book I read was Spacewolf by William King, and instantly fell in love with the setting (and Ragnar, in no small manner). So, with that boring lore out of the way, I would like to ask you Wolves of Fenris how you would recommend I build my army going forward. I'm a huge fan of the primaris range, and have a lot of the models unbuilt and unpainted, so I would like to primarily keep it within the range, but anything other than the original marines would be fine by me (Wolfen, Older Dreads because Bjorn is the best, thunderwolf cavalry in a small dose). I also don't want the spotlight here, and would love to hear how the rest of you have built your armies, and the stories you've forged over the years! Hi there! Over the past year Ive been trying to build a casual and thematic IF list with the templar assault ROW. Unfortunately, it doesnt seem like many people use this one or build a list around it, so Ive been kind of piecing it together without much advise. Id Like to hear your thoughts on the current list, and the more ideal competitive version of it. Ive only every played other peoples tryhard lists before, so Im not really sure how this fairs against an average army. Any advice would be appreciated, and if I have some rules wrong please let me know. Here are my personal restrictions: -no recon marines/scouts -no phalanx warders - set late siege of Terra around warhawk. This is the current list, and comprises of the models I have so far: The Idea for this list is to have dorn and huscarls in spartan, Sigi and some templar in proteus, and the other templar with the preator in deepstrike. Tacs grab objectives while dreads cover supporting fire for dorn and sigi to move up the board and take on elite units, once positioning is ok the other deepstrike squad will come in and flank some power armour like a heavy support squad or something. Templars also have line for objectives. Dorn and his pals take on the biggest threat, while sigi challenges the second highest threat. Tanks do damage to other vehicles/dreads or teminators. They ride in proteus tanks to get them from a to b safely, and cap objectives/kill infantry. preator and regular terminators deepstrike wherever is needed to cause pressure and do big damage, while contemptor helps where it can. Deredo adds long range support and anti air. Sigi and his huscarls move up slowly in cover to challenge the hq. Is this list a better idea?
