pretty easy, isn't it?

without the thinking-process, how to do it, the pure time of building took less than half an hour. for both sides ....

Great idea, how to make a good looking Mural, and yet so "simple" to make. First I thought you filed away the back from the figures.

But just cutting away the side, and fill up with stone/sand. So simple, and yet so great result.

If I saw that raider in my opponents army, I wouldn

great work. really well thought out. love that twin linked assault cannon gunner. will use it for sure on my new fast attack APC, and the dozer blade looks amazing really better than the APC from aliens but i often game with it in 1/35th scale. if anyone wants rules ill post them up when theyre finalised. i use it as a fast vehicle than can transport 2 five man combat squads. anyways guys speak soon.

ADIOS

the argument with the painting is exactly what i'm thinking, too ...

but unfortunately i don't like painting very much ... ... => i think i do not have much talent in painting ... but of course i'd like to, but in the end, painting never had such a high priority as converting and creating in my mind. and because of that, going together with the fact, that i do not have much time to spend on my hobby, and therefore i always tried to keep the painting-periods as short as possible ...

See if you can get somebody to do a cheap comission! :D

A stunning conversion using very creative and unique ideas.

Cheers

I

thanks,

but meanwhile the idea isn"t that unique any more.

i was realy happy about having found more projects during the last year with either the same concept or a variant of it. i"m always happy to see that at least some of my projects do realy not only inspire, but motivate others to try the same or something better ...

.

i told this to my girlfreind and she said:" but doesn"t the fact make you feel sad, that propably all those doing such a conversion started later but finished painting it earlier?!"

and to be honest this was reason enought for me to continue painting on this project again. .... :P

@ bjoern ... : as i've already said via mail: i realy like your version and espacialy the background and the fact that you framed the whole thing.

Wowsers, well you've given me plenty of ideas. I've been umming and ahing about the possibility of a future landraider (price putting me off) but you just sealed the deal for me dude :> brilliantly creative, and nothing wrong with your painting. Its neat, smooth and adds lif to the mini, ignore anyone who says 'your let down' by your painting, if its the best you can do, and you like it, its awesome :>

I agree fully, you have absolutly nothing to be ashamed of with painting like that!! its tidy, neat and clear... everything it needs to be... Who cares if its GD standard... A lot of the people who think they paint to GD standard have never entered one! (now what does THAT tell you).

But trust me man, your painting is pretty darned good. And the conversion simply rocks.
