Well, since all forms of Daemon Princes appears to be banned I think you can't use the Daemon Prince through "Princehood claim" either ;) But yeah, the Daemonic Stature implies the Daemon Prince that gains Monsterous Creature and Large Target and special weapon limits thing :turned: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/113890-the-call-of-chaos/page/5/#findComment-1314210 Share on other sites

Evil eyeball
Stupid question... But If a special character is power armoured and not equipped with any banned items can we do that Spceial char... allbeit i bet you'd be better off to use him as a basis for your model and just convert something else as a special char model even painted to 'eavy metal ++ standard probably wouldnt win over someones conversion. Mortarion
I never participated in a B&C contest before but this sounds fun. I'm in. Two questions though: 1. Gaming bases only! No plinths or "trophy style" bases.... Base size can be no bigger than 40mm (round or square). The way I interpret this, it is OK to use a 40 mm base on a Chaos Lord or normal Chaos marine since it is a gaming base, although it is not the base normally supplied with that type of model. Is this correct? Edited to remove typo and to be a bit clearer. 2. You can hold the mini together with blue-tac or pins for the WIP shot. "You can hold the mini together..." Do you have to hold the mini together? If you intend to paint the mini in separate pieces, is it OK to have a WIP picture showing all those pieces but not put together? (And I'm talking about two or possibly three pieces, not a pile of bitz.) Chronophague
@Mortarion These are just my interpretations of the rules, which are clear enough in my opinion. For question 1, clean away the Swedish words, and make more sense with it. I assume you mean to ask if you can use a base other than that supplied with the model, then that's ok. It says 40mm maximum size, not use what comes with the model. No bases other than the ones specified. What comes as standard is not an issue. Only the bases you are allowed to use. For question 2. I think they mean that you have 2 choises. A pic of the model put together, or if you wish to paint parts separately, you have to find some way to stick it together for a "wip" shot. I have never yet seen a "blow-up" shot of a WIP in the B&C competitions. The idea of having it assembled in the WIP shot, as far as my guess goes, is to show that it indeed is the same model as the one that is painted and entered into the competition. Cheers Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/113890-the-call-of-chaos/page/5/#findComment-1315047 Share on other sites
Kurgan the Lurker
Chrono is correct -- which is why we suggest blue-tac (or some other poster stickum) or pinning to hold it together long enough to get a wip shot off. LoneSniperSG
[*]No other models allowed on the base. No nurglings, other marines/races/etc. A spare helmet or piece of gear is fine but no other miniatures. Debris, furniture and such is okay. Just not another mini (this isn't a DUEL or SQUAD contest afterall). All entries will be displayed after Oct. 1st for people to begin voting. No entries will be shown until that time. I'm also to assume this means we can't have a Chaos Lord standing over a dead Guardsman? Shucks. I may have to enter, just so as to get the diesel engine roaring to paint my Wolves. Ikarus
Can we do a primarch? I could actually see a pre-heresy to be heretic primarch, but, they won't really look too "chaotic" and it would feel like it's a bit against the contest base idea. Personally, I'd be disappointed if there's many "pre-heresy" marines juggling about in the end of the contest when the entries are up. Even tho they "fell" during the heresy, there's just something wrong with having "loyal" marines running around in a chaos contest. And, offcourse, the mods already said their opinion on primarchs. :P -Ikarus Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/113890-the-call-of-chaos/page/5/#findComment-1315869 Share on other sites
Jokersminis
There is nothing in the rules that states you cannot enter a Primarch. The problem comes with making that entry fit the rules. No Terminator Armor, no Demonic Stature, no Demon Princes, etc... I am entering Konrad Curze, Primarch of the Night Lords, you can see my current ideas in the Mod Contest thread by following the link in my sig.
