I really need to learn how to do a wet palette. All of you good painters seem to use one. <_<

heres a tutorial on making one(by me):

Wet Palette

make sure your parchment paper is a bit smaller than your towel though, it helps

Fantastic! Thanks!

An update, most of the torso is done, again fiddling with details is always time consuming:

and added more shading/colour to the pipe

***edit and to those who wonder why a "quick paint job" is taking so long..well this model has massive detail, so quick isnt really quick in comparison to other minis!! and the fact i only paint it now and then hahaha

thanks for your reply=) thank you!

Because I'm using the GW colour, so I'm trying to using GW paints as p3 paints(do you think possible?or not?)

when I saw your tutorial of Wet Palette, I think I'm going to replace my CD case to a container  lol

GW brush...none, they are terrible!!

look for red sable or kolinsky sable brushes

lol...I like your opinion! *Brother! I'm using the red sable too^^

The new update looks mad!!

The 'water' part is really crazy...@@

Now, I'm looking forward for the nurgle mark of the Dreadnought, I think it'll be great! :verymad:

looking forward your result again^^

Mike.

sorry, I got one question :)

I would like to know, can I undercoat the model by using the black spray? (cause I saw yours one was used white)

Is that important, or doesn't matter?

I wish you can give me a reply=)

Thanks buddy!

Mike.

black would make it more difficult because youd have to do multiple coats of the brown to get it on, couldnt put it on as thin, and the colour would be darker as well

i always use white unless im painting an army scheme that is very dark

and another update:

whats left:

weapons, details, some weathering, metallics, wires/hoses and then fill the gap in the base!

Thanks for your reply!

(I need to buy the white spray^^; )

I would really like to see the result^^(I want to see the result of nurgle mark!!!!!lol)

looking forward your next update!

thank you!

Stark! dont let the topic down...upup

Have you finished the model? =)

Mike.

should be finished today, im just working on details and metallics, was busy working on my car and some other things, and it was too hot to paint all week so

Starks

bad pics, but he is now finished, i dont have my photo booth set up yet, still havent bought the lamps!!!

ill try for better ones tommorow when i have more patience

***man these are even worse than i thought...they really ruin the model, ill have to get some for sure tommorow, maybe they will show nicer when the suns up

*****new pics below

;)

ok, here we go, these are much better, still not excellent because its tricky to get my half ass setup to not relflect all the bright spots(since its a very bright beige)

but at least now you can see some of the highlights a bit better

Wow, that's great! I love the little extra touches on the base like the water running from the pipe!

All in all, simply a beautiful model (if you could call anything belonging to nurgle beautiful that is...)
