I'm still working on a good Lemartes conversion but I have made a couple of DC before. Here is my latest take on my favorite unit.

I have some WIP and I'm almost finished with my 10 man JP DC. Once those are finished I will either work on a character or a RAS or perhaps the 10 man footslogging DC. Might need a break from all that black especially since this is the second time I am painting my Blood Angels. Too many good folks on these boards that make such wonderful Blood Angels that I was shamed by mine HAR! Anyhow enjoy the DC!

and whats best hes an aobr termie and is all plastic :( Pity he'll never get used...

Well here's my DC, not based I know, but that's a later project. B) I wanted to do something different with them, so I made them white! ^_^ They still lack two members though, but I'll get around to painting them when I use 5 in my 1500 pts list.

And here is the chaplain. An old 3rd ed model (I think) with Dantes jumppack, ready to kick ass.

:)

I've a whole durned gallery of my Blood Angels stuff at DeviantArt, but I just wanted to toss a few of my proudest pieces up here into your absolutely impressive gallery. Just so much amazing work from the folks here.

My pic quality is dubious at best, but my camera is slowly dying a painful death.

At any rate:

Recently finished my Honour Guard after only having recently discovered that these models exist. The first four I banged out in as many days, but the the standard bearer took some scratchin' of the ole noodle. I'm not good with freehand stuff, and I hardly even knew what I wanted on the durned thing. A quick glance at the cover of our codex provided some handy inspiration, though.

http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss249/vostok3/honourguard.jpg

And the standard bearer a little closer up

http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss249/vostok3/standard.jpg

Also, forgot my Brother Corbulo that I finished and never uploaded. Yeah, I changed his weapon. I hate the old chainsword models. *shrug*

http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss249/vostok3/Corbulo.jpg

To igotsmeakabob:

I do my red differently in pretty much every new project I start. With the honour guard and Corbulo I eschewed priming altogether and just used Mechrite Red as the basecoat, generously drybrushed with Blood Red, coated with red ink (found a few old bottles at my local hobby store), then further drybrushed with more Blood Red. The details and seams are all touched up with Badab Black. I really like the way these came out, but it's incredibly time consuming.

This is Chaplain Gunzhard with changable hands (via rare earth magnets). The flag pole is also magnetized to avoid breaking in my case.

I had trouble getting the gold on smoothly and visibly. The drop on his shoulder pad was done with green stuff with which I am very much a beginner.

So, I attempted to try my hand at layering/blending. The results are dubious, but I'm pretty pleased with how he turned out. Red is hell to layer. I plan on adding the chapter/company badges eventually, but I wanted to get this thing photographed before I ruin it attempting do so.
