Thanks guys! ^^

Mr. Fulgrim. That is acctually not green, I paint them:

Black undercoat (Duh)

Codex gray

wash with VMC yellow olive (catachan green will do) and some chardon granite

codex grey layer

codex grey + VMC Ghost grey (space wolf grey will do) 75/15 % layer

some more layer using the same mix but with more ghost grey around 3-4 layers

then some controlled washes of calthan brown, blazing orange, chaos black to get a bit of rust here and there as well as

some depth.

to spice flat areas up highlight using small lines to make the armor appear ancient.

that´s it

You do Papa Nurgle proud,

A unified (and bleak - especially with the pale lens glow) colourscheme and yet enough grisly bits - for it to be suitably nurgly.

The bases also help to make them appear more weathered than they actually are.

Good job. Keep it up! :o

Wow these are great!

The grey scheme fits so well, it has alot of character. Definatly better than GW's green-marines.

The spawn is just lovely. I still havent figuered out quite what that head is though...spose thats coz its a spawn lol!

Keep it up,

Reaper31

Me likes.

If I would build a traditional DG army again, I'd go for the same greyish look.

Works much better thatn the trad. green.

Keep it up!

PS. We have to form some sort of gang and bully Kenshin hard enoug to make him bring DG.org back <_<

As a fellow DG player/painter, I must say I am a bit jealous. Your plaguemarines look really(!) scary! Love the effect on the eyes. Very spooky, real Cities of Death plague marines.

Want to see more!!

Brother Nihm: Thanks the minis are early wip wnad will get a more wheaterd apperance later with some washes and such bbut I wanted to keep a foot-slooging-zombie feel to them so I stayed away from to many vibrant colours.

Sgt Stabby:Thanks man, and it´s never to late to re-start a army this is my thirdor fourth attempt ;)

Lord Ragnarok&Brother Bohemund: shhhh yes I hope the update won´t take as long XD sorry guys I will really try and I got alot of more stuff to show wich is in wip but atm I have alot with studies...

Darth Potato:Thanks, and yes I think he reminds me of a death korp.

aggraae:The skin sacks:

tallarn flesh

wash of red, black, purpel & ard coat

tallarn flesh llayering with elf flesh

some more thin washes and ard coat where you want it nice and juciy

Reaper31:The head is from the spawn box with added nasty tubing and a helmet from gs

Pake:Hey pake ol mate ye the grey was a throwback to the wonderful test mini for DG by John Thomsson (or how the heck he spells it) so I went for something similar.

Maladon:ahaha I almost never play games since I´m so easaly disrtraced to do another army I never finish stuff and therefor don´t own a complete army... but the spawns where to cool to resist If I will play games I will use them. but only for the coolness factor

Kerrigan:Thanks it´s good that the CoD feeling was fronted since I love that setting.

Thanks for all the kind words folks it´s great to post on this wonderful forum again and I am building nurgelish stuff atm and I will add stuff soon(ish)

I am really drawn to the muted, matte color choices. Very realistic, in my opinion. This is exactly how I would expect them to look, were I unfortunate enough to meet them face-to-face. And your washing technique is flawless.

Really well done.

Well here´s a update on the DG side of life, I did paint a bit more on these guys but they are still wip.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y21/animerik/DSC005901.jpg

I did build a start to a possesed squad (man these sprues are awsome!) thet are ready to recive some gs loving later.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y21/animerik/DSC005911.jpg

I realised that I had a box of chaos termies as well so I did knock up a first member of the squad. It´s almost done only some gs work to fill some gaps to do.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y21/animerik/3333333.jpg

Did start on a lord (the boxed set has some really sucky detail I shaved most of off). Left to do: add detail to plasma, add riverts to harness and armour plating, fix nurgel symbol on the small sheild to be more detailed, add a smbol to his left leg, fix the cape and add the horns on top, fixing the armour around the head and add some lens.

That´s all for now I hope I will have more time to add stuff as soon as possible.
