Isiah
Great colouration on that model, nice details and really well based – chaos termies are looking very impressive when put together well. Corax_rg
This topic did two things for me, 1) Makes me want terminators really bad :P 2) It also makes me reluctant untill my painting skills are better, yours look amazing. Keep the updates coming. :) :Edit: Where did you get the rubble piles on the base, Nihm ? Brother Nihm
Thanks everyone. :) Looks great, my only critique would be to bring some vibrant color into the base on some of the larger flat surfaces. Paint up a few of the sides of the rubble to look like they were once a wall somewhere. I think my favorite part of the model has to be the plasma. Looks great. Vibrant colours into the base, check Looks great.I would leave the trophy racks off,i mean they are night lords. They have skulls and lightning all over their armor so i dont think they would really need the racks. Absolutely brilliant Brother Nihm, love the marks as i said before, not to many either i think you got the amount spot on. Personally i would leave out the trophy racks, the model is perfect as it is. :cuss great as usual nihm. id leave the trophy racks off, this way he actually looks like he can fit through doors You can never have too many grisly trophies, skulls and evil accessories as a Night Lord. The sad reality is that the new trophy racks break far too easily during transports so I will leave them off. Good point LordSion. Awesome...seeing your termies I now want to see how the new and old termies compare in a side by sideThat may take awhile as my old termies are locked away. :P This topic did two things for me, 1) Makes me want terminators really bad :P 2) It also makes me reluctant untill my painting skills are better, yours look amazing. :) Keep the updates coming. :) :Edit: Where did you get the rubble piles on the base, Nihm ? The rubble piles are resin pieces from the 40k basing kit. Update: I'm currently basecoating the legs of Terminator number two. Today I'll paint the base as well. Pics will be up in 1-2 days. Brother Nihm
I just thought I'd update this as I got a bit more done in the past months. I still haven't figured out how to include more colours on the bases. Any ideas? Terminator #2 WIP's: Terminator #2 - Finished model: Next up, number three. Miniman
Nice work you have going there. I quite like WiP 3 already, looks like the pointy arrows are tears! Very effective! I also like the usage of the lightning bolts, adding a few here and there and not cluttering the model. Can't wait to see the squad done  keep it up Nihm Miniman Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/123379-terror-wing/page/3/#findComment-1527681 Share on other sites
Kaleb Daark
Still one of the best work on the night Lords I have ever seen. Too bad for the missing trophy racks on the terminators... They would looked even greater. But They are indeed very fragile... Keep em comming man, can´t wait to see more. ironloki
Ooooh, I love the skull markings on the Terminators. That is very very nice. Must find some excuse to try that on my own termies. Not sure how you could go about adding colour on the bases. Maybe if you tried to get a different colour/shade on the ruins (maybe make them browner for example) Or there is the age old - if a tad cliche'd - of dropping in space marine bits - helmets, bolters etc into the rubble? Brother Renn
Awesome work as always, Nihm. Your Nightlords have always been an inspiration. (Damn you, now I want to paint up some NL! Maladon
Duuuuude, those rock, as the bronze/gold I like it! But then again I'm a fan of the original 2nd edition scheme of the Dark blue and bronze trim.... Makes me almost want to scrap my Iron Warriors and restart Night Lords despite the fluff beating that GW did. Pulse
Bloody hell, getting better and better each time i see the next terminator. The arrows under the eyes are fantastic, such a simple thing to do (for someone with painting talent and a steady hand, like yourself) but extremely effective! Looking forward to more of the same. Muskie
i love termie 2 especially the skull paint, you make me want to paint my chaos in NL colors, do they have a specific codex? No one has a specific codex anymore on the Dark Side. We're all one big happy family, well except the Iron Warriors, no one likes them because, well because they're gits and the current CSM codex is a direct result of their gittyness. :-P It is up to the player to make their army unique through painting, conversion, and careful, thoughtful troop selection. It isn't hard for me and Nihm but some people seem to think they are being persecuted personally by Jervis Johnson because they changed the rules so it is quicker to pick an army list and more inline with the future they have invisioned for the game. All that said the basic lowely CSM squad is great, rhinos are cheaper, and I think all four of the special god specific troops have skills, but I personally will not be painting any 1000 Sons for a few years... Night Lords are pro-Raptor, they have the cool Forgeworld Dreadnought, even other special pieces you can order. I think sneaky Chosen is also very Night Lord, but Nihm is the banner bearer, though he needs an eviler purple. :-) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/123379-terror-wing/page/3/#findComment-1530109 Share on other sites
