Cheers guys. He'll technically be a Captain, as Vulkan Es'tan, the special character he represents, doesn't come with an orbital strike. The fact that he twin links every flamer, heavy flamer, meltagun and multi-melta in your army and master crafts every thunder hammer for free is just icing on the cake really, heh.

Alas, it's been a while since I've updated. I missed September entirely, and it's getting quite late in October now, so apologies.

I finally, finally got around to finishing another 10 Terminators on the 14th this month after pretty much sitting down and grinding through the damn painting without motivation. Ah well, it's only speed painting. As such, another 420 points is completed -

That brings me up to around 7,488 points, and though I only pledged 3,000 for the Call of Chaos II, there's still an Attack Bike to paint before I've technically finished my pledge. There may be only 2 months remaining, but I'm fairly sure I can manage it, even with the University workload hanging around. It's highly unlikely I'll paint the 10 Bikes and Lord on Bike, 3 Land Raiders, 5 Terminators, 2 Dreadnoughts, Nurgle Daemon Prince and stupid number of Marines remaining, simply as I have no motivation in any shape or form for painting this army anymore, which is why it's been so long since an update.

I've also made a small amount of progress on my Vulkan conversion. I haven't done much because I've gone through an entire Warhammer army and sold it, started another, and started several non-GW projects as well, so yet another Marine army hasn't been overly high on my priorities. At any rate here he is (without flash on the left, showing the actual armour bronze/gold colours, and with flash on the right, showing the actual cloak colours though shaming the highlighting...) -

You never know, I may end up painting more Marines before the year is out....

Alas, with 5 deadlines for University this and next week, the final Attack Bike didn't get painted for the Call of Chaos. The only workaround I have for this is that in my initial pledge I only mentioned 1 Attack Bike, which has indeed been painted. That, and out of the 3,000 points I pledged, I've painted 7,488 points. Therefore I've completed my pledge.

As such, here's an army shot of everything that got painted since December 5th, 2007. Hurrah!

The Call truly was a motivating target over the summer holidays.
