Many thanks Skullz.

I know it's a bit of a thread necro, but after being out-of-action (40K-wise) for an extended period, I have actually found time to move forward with this project... and I will be updating with photographic proof of such.

As I mentioned elsewhere... had to put my beloved pastime aside to attend to more pressing matters. Matters aside, I'm back at it.

Going to drop a few shots taken just this evening as a reference & watermark for the project. All of the pieces are in the relatively same state as when I mothballed them. I can see right now I have lots of work to do...

Expect frequent updates. This time, I mean it.

I really like the style, very muted colours but it works well. I think in order to get that wargame miniature look maybe some lighter desert style bases or a bare head thrown in would help all your hard work stand out a little more. I'd avoid snow bases as the glare would drown out the muted style of the minis and mud/dark earth bases would probably make it hard to draw out the paint job from a distance.

Excellent work! :tu:

I appreciate the positive responses. Very encouraging. Going to see what I can do about getting a few of these finished by end-of-week. The 'desert' basing is a great idea to help them stand out. I'm all over that.

So... I tired the B&C blog thing, and added the first bit of fluff in story form. It's not Pulitzer material, that's for certain. But, I think it works for now.

Edit: guess it would have helped to make it visible... had I "published" it. Not the sharpest soup spoon in the drawer, this guy.

Two months later...

After being completely engrossed in the new 'game' sweeping the globe entitled "Try to keep your job!", I have found time to settle on a scheme and complete the troops selections.
