Well anyone who knows anything about the northeast, it is damn hard to find fellow gamers. I have assembled a group of us 40k fanatics and am kicking off our maiden voyage into campaign play!! Our gaming base is Games Unlimited, Bangor Maine! Anyone wishing to participate is absolutely welcome, or if you'd like to just socialize, come on down! My name is Patrick, just leave a message with the store owners(preferably name, email and phone #), and we'll start the healing.....er.....shooting!

Best 40K Games in Maine - Crossroad Games in Standish. See their website for monthly calendar. 40K "club" night is now wednesdays, 6:30 PM to closing. Typically one tournament per month on a saturday. Club night activities are open games most of the time; currently (october 2009) doing the badab War Campaign following the BOLs campaign guide. Large amount of available terrain for battles. Friendly atmosphere. Game tables open every day, every week for pickup games. Store website has forum for discussion on games and pinging local players.

Crossroad Games in Standish - next monthly tournament is scheduled for 11/21/09. 2000 points.

Also at Crossroads - December 6th (Sunday) 2009 we bring back the "Will Paint for Food" event - figures and vehicles will be painted by volunteers for you, for your donation of a can of food per SME equivalent, or 10 cans donated for a rhino equivalent. Last year we collected about 100 cans of food for donation to a local food pantry, the work was done by 3 or 4 painters in about 5 hours time. We are looking for items to paint, and also looking for volunteer painters (a great way to pick up painting tips!).

Again, the website at Crossroad Games (forums or Calendar) will have instructions / more information.

In case anyone does not know, Crossroad games will be holding this years preliminary round for 'ard boyz, May 15th. There is enough space for 24 people and I bet we could fit more. Crossroads is the biggest gaming store in maine so don't be afraid to just show up. Although calling ahead wouldn't hurt.

Just wanted to let anyone in the Greater Bangor area know that 3 Geek Gaming holds a weekly 40k night on Wednesdays. Right now we have a few different things going, including a 1500-pt typed and submitted ladder match, team games each week at varying point levels, and usually a few guys just looking for other point level matches. We also do an apoc game about once a month that runs til late. We are playing all day Wednesday, so if you are at all interested, please stop in!

See the CrossRoad games website for details on Standish Standoff #4!  Coming soon in November!  The website has just a few slots remaining, but more may be added if there is demand for more.  Shirt, lunch, swag included in entry fee.  There will also be non-40K events as well (different signups).  Should be an awesome Maine gaming weekend!
