The Defiler Posted July 22, 2008 Share Posted July 22, 2008 Here are some little buddies I've been working on for a new Chaos army... I still have two other guys to build to get a ten man squad... (yeah, I know ten Fallens at the same time & at the same place is a bit too much.. but I always loved them since I start playing) GS seems rough on the pics, but it's because it has been sanded.. it's smooth as silk in real life.. Still have to make GS studs on Mk6 shoulderpads (the pins method went wrong, as shown on the running bolter guy) and finish the back of the hoods... and going on basing them... The Defiler Posted July 22, 2008 Author Share Posted July 22, 2008 To answer to both you, MWAM, and Frost Knight above, I don't consider most Fallens as real CSM, but just some kind of 'renegades', fighting for themselves, bitter, hidding their true goal, able to fight alongside with CSM for some reason but not sharing their ideals nor worshipping... They are Cypher's homeboys... :P (Obviously some of them became true Chaos Space Marines, but not mine... :P ) Thanks for your comments guys ! (undercoating them chaos black is 50% of the job :D I love full black marines !!) Those bases are dead easy to make... just some plasticard and pieces of a cheap metal cooking grid I've found at the supermarket.. Hoods are almost ready, they just need to be sanded a bit to give them a better look.. (hoods are a real pain to sculpt actually !) The two last bodies are done, arms, head and helmet are moldlines-free.. I just have to glue things together.. (and preparing 9 backpacks... :mellow: ) But I' m seeking for an advice.. Should Fallens still wear their old squad markings ? (you know, tac squad arrows and numbers for exemple) I've been thinking mixing markings to show the fact they were not a combat unit before the Caliban 'incident', but just guys coming (and gathered) from different squads... (bolter guys should be tactical marines, the sarge could be a veteran, plasma marines could come from devastator/tactical squads... for exemple, nothing's decided yet) What do you think about it ? Quite possible that particular Fallen still believes he acts in the Emperors favour, like Astellan from Angels of Darkness! These guys are shaping up nicely, get some paint on them! Also on the topic of Squad markings, a mixture would better suit Fallen, considering they were scattered all over space and time (Cue Doctor Who music). *Editted for appalling spelling! Vastah Posted July 23, 2008 Share Posted July 23, 2008 really cool man, fallen have always been a source of inspiration for me too and btw guys.. the ONLY legion allowed to wear the imperial aquila was the Emperor's Children legion so actually NO one could have the aquila in the squad even if their intentions were good and don't forget, fallen armour is black!! off course...since their fall and the subsequent 10.000 years, numerous Dark Angels have fallen to the lure of chaos which would explain the aquila and maybe a DA green colour scheme I like how that rhymes :) pz out Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That's really cheap (5€ max), can be easily found, and provide a good amount of mesh... Just cut it with a pair of those finnish, and sharp as hell, scissors, then glued it on the base... @ Solid Zaku: Oh my god, no no no, it's your eyes, I'm sorry mate, I've just used regular DA veterans.. I've used GS to modify some folds to make (some of) their robes a bit different, to create two hoods, and to hide their chestplates when necessary. Nothing more.
