Lets put together a list of all the changes in 5th edition, I don't have the two rulebooks to compare so that's why i need your help.

Do you have the rule book to start with?

 

Just making sure your not asking for people to tell you the new rules...

It doesn't look like he does, seems like hes wanting us to tell him whats new.

quick list, not inclusive:

 

Shooting phase:

run

go to ground

Trule Line of Sight (TLOS)

new cover rules and more generous saves (other units' models provide cover)

'see one, shoot them all' with regard to enemy units

all Blast weapons now use scatter+2D6-BS

barage / ord. barage rules Re: cover and direct firing

pistol is now effectively assault 1

gets hot now only on 1s

template and blast check hits for each weapon before rolling wounds

snipers pin/rend, use BS to hit

rending nerf (on 6 to wound, +1D3 to armour pen of 6)

pinning = go to ground

 

assualt phase:

defenders react

determining assault winner same - morale check modifier is Ld-#wounds the combat was lost by

new rules regarding power fists, thunder hammers, the use of more than 1 type of special close combat weapon (can not get +1A)

all consolidation is 1D6" not 3 or d6

no consolidating into another combat ;)

 

characters:

are attached if w/in 2"

are targetable

rules are clearer

 

special units:

jet packs are "relentless" (USR)

bikes cannot go "upstairs"

 

vehicles:

movment reclassified to combat speed / cruising speed / flat out (fast only)

defensive weapons now ≤S4

damage table consolidated to 1 with modifiers for glance, AP1, AP-, ord, etc...

vehicles get cover save when obscured, no change of damage table

slightly different ebark/disembark rules

slightly different effects to passengers

fast vehicles may move + shoot ord barrage (combat speed)

change to fixed hull mounted weapon firing arc

assaults always against rear armour (unless vehicle is walker)

ramming (fun)

open topped have -1 to S of wound to passengers when "vehicle explodes"

 

missions:

completely changed

 

USRs:

turbo boosters now grants cover of 3+

Relentless (new)

scouts and infiltrate have new rules

 

buildings - rules in BBB

ruins:

-moving up or down is 3" per level (regardless of height between level sin model.)

-vertical+horizontal movement, not vertical=horizontal as in CoD

Intact:

treated as immobile transport vehicles

access points

fire points

building armour value table in BBB

 

there's more, but that's off the top o' me head
