That chaos carapace armor looks awesome! I love it.

It looks to me like he's trying to stick a stikkbom in behind the marine's head, while falling. The 'nade goes boom, he goes splat, his squadmates take advantage of a near dead/disoriented crimson sister-fister.

He looks like a wretched little twerp, just the sort of person I'd expect to be duped by chaos!

Heh. This Blood Pact armor is a unified design I created to use on my characters. I wanted to go for a different than "scrapped cadian" chaos infantry armor, and well - this is the result)

You guessed absolutely right, that's the cultist's aim. Though he has a faint chance to stay alive%)

He-he, exactly. This character is bat<DELETED BY THE INQUISITION> insane)

Prot

I'd still love to see you do a Berzerker in a full out blood rage. smile.gif

I have Corel Painter I'm playing with right now, but I would love to know what brush/paint type gives that type of effect. Great job to both of you again. A lot of the time I see small proportioned marines in fan art but I think you've got a great handle on the anatomy/proportions of the marines.... just my personal opinion of course.

I'll be doing Urlock Gaur, and since he's probably a World Eater, I wanna draw him as a 'zerk.

No prob. I'm using Pencils-->2B pencil at opacity=12% and graininess=0%, Oils Pastels-->Soft Oil Pastel at opacity=40% and 0% graininess, and Oils--> Oil Camelhair at opacity=60% and Feature=1.

Ah, thanks) I like the proportions here too, something I rarely get right, so your opinion on this is flattering))

The Crimson Fist is awesome (love the high shoulderpads), but I have to say that the cultist's arms and legs look too skinny and flimsy. They just seem a bit out of proportion compared to the torso and head. Really cool stuff though, so keep it up!

Well the character was intended to doo kinda emaciated... The torso gives a massive impression because of the rather bulky armor... think of a tin can with a stick wobbling in it%)

Thanks dude)

Yes and thats where numbers like a hundred to one com into the equation. Marines are few, guard are beond count and still a couple of squads of marines can take out guard armies.

The cultist must first manage to sneak up on the marine with his enhanced senses and helmet that further aguments them. Aint happening.

You seemed to fully ignore my example with official GW and unofficial literature, where commisars single-handedly kill Chaos Marines and privates single-handedly kill Ork Nobs.

I'll give you another example. A person, in urban fight, can sneak upon a tank. But a modern tank has not 2 eyes, but a lot of cameras on it + the crew. Now, a Space Marine can see further, have infrared vision in the helmet and have a heightened sense of sound. If one doesn't get in his field of view and is able not to cause noise or trembling of the surroundings, he may sneak upon. Since the cultist is attacking from above, the sense of seismic disturbance is negated, 'cause the marine and cultist are operating on different levels. Since he attacks from the back and above, he doesn't get in the marines field of view. The only thing left is sound, but that depends on the experience of the attacker.

And I haven't ready anywhere in the fluff that Space Marines have a 360 degree field of view.
