bretonians as AM?

what with the new 40k and all I got inspired to collect a new army. after much musing I decided to go for IG. But before buying any models or anything I wanted a nice theme for the army and decided that AM really appeals. So I'm now considering what models to get to represent this theme (I don't just want to get a load of cadians, paint them red and say Ta-Dah!).

So, what I need is a way to represent AM forces on the tabletop. I prefer using plastic to metal (cheaper too) and I'm rubbish at sculpting so my initial thourghts were to use bretonian men at arms for the bodies, cadian arms and a mix of hooded d.angel and glade guard heads.

I don't want to go nuts on the cyber bits for the basic troopers and the sargents/chars will be done more carefully.

anyone got any better ideas or comments?

I think it would look good, especially with the dome style war hats. Possibly menials for the AM or bondsmen to a Knight Household. The contrast between a high-tech command and a low-tech servant would look good.
