Brother Styphus
Could you maybe drill more into the collar thing that seems to be blocking his head. It keeps forcing his head down, and giving off a funny look. Alpha PTP
How is this even considered a conversion? It is a head swap, and not even a good one at that. I am not trying to be an ass, but if you really want to try and convert something, you should go big. Convert your own head from scratch or something. Just make something original. Going all-out is the best way to get better at modeling. It pushes you to your limits and expands them. The sooner you can get out of parts swapping, the better. High Marshal Pallantides
@Alpha PTP: You may not be trying to be an ass, but you succeeded at becoming one real quick. Yes it is a simple conversion cause I really don't like helmet-less marines, yet alone a helmet-less Chapter master. Not only that, but I love the sculpt of the model as well. If I hate a sculpt, then I would do a more extensive conversion. If you have done any kind of search function you may have seen my post on true scaling, which is a larger and more extensive conversion process. Here I'll even give you a link: True Scale Marines by Chappy P! But again, maybe that wouldn't live up to your lofty standards of conversions, as I use stock terminator legs and other marine parts filled with Green Stuff. Honestly if you have nothing constructive to say, please keep quiet. I see it all the here on these boards, people doing something whether it be a magnificent conversion/scratch built mega piece of awesomeness, or a "simple head swap" someone has something negative to say, or to tell someone that their time spent whether great or small was a waste. So I guess I am sorry for being too simple for you. And yes, the neck was cut down so the head fits better than the picture that I had shown. I guess the last thing I would say is why redo a perfectly good model when the only part which sucks was the head? Sorry for the rant, but your comments just so happen to piss me off... One, I wasn't talking about re-sculpting the entire model, I was talking about sculpting or creating your own helmet. You say you can use green stuff. That's great! So why hold back? I'm sorry I don't stalk you, looking at your topics to gauge your talents, if that is what you were expecting from "If you have done any kind of search function you may have seen my post on true scaling." But, go for the gold, man. Go all out. Pushing yourself is how you get better, staying in a comfort zone is how you waste your talents. Ask any Golden Daemon winner. You may not be shooting for a Daemon, but it is the same general concept. Two, I'm sorry, but I think a thread on a head-swap is a waste of a topic, personally. That is like someone making a topic about how they built a tactical marine and put one of those little pouches on him. You changed one part... woo-hoo? I guess my sarcasm is coming across as being an ass. *Shrugs.* Whoops. Three, I am being constructive. I didn't crush your attempts at trying to change a good sculpt, but I tried to give you a little nudge to take a risk and create something on your own. I guess that made me seem like an ass as well? I agree, the head he has originally is not the best part of the model, but a head swap is hardly doing him justice.
