Tyrannicide
Okay so I've just finished undercoating the model and it is now decided that he will be from the Mortifactors Chapter. I should have an update either later tonight, or tomorrow morning. Pictures to follow. Thanks everyone for their votes and support, I plan to do some freehand on the model too. We'll see how it goes. EDIT: I've added a picture of the Sergeant as he currently stands. The photo turned out grainy, because I had to change the light settings. It just shows that I need to get another light. :) http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn230/the_illuminator/IMG_1610.jpg I'm unsure of how the Mortifactors designate company. The shoulder pads suggest this Marine is part of the second, while the left kneepad says fifth. I'm thinking of painting the shoulder rims on my Sergeant red, since he is part of the third company, and then leaving the left knee blank. What are your thoughts? http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn230/the_illuminator/mortifactors.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/142671-space-marine-sergeant/page/2/#findComment-1653190 Share on other sites
Hasoroth
Based on the coloration, I would wager that the yellow portions of the Mortifcator portrayed would indicate Company. So for a Third Company Mortificator, you'd have red and black quartered on the left kneepad, with red shoulder pad rims. Since they are an Ultra successor I would say it safe to go with the codex company colors (I went with Black on mine, making them 5th Co.) . I second the idea of doing the left knee in Red/Black quatering though.
