Hello all, heres the humble start of my Iron warriors, a nine man squad and 2 Obliterators made from some Ogre Bulls, lots of spare guns and a little green stuff plus a few wires

Since these Pictures the marines have been undercoated and then basecoated boltgun metal, the oblits I'm still unsure of how to go about painting the skin on so any examples / advice is most welcome, more pictures to come later today of the paint scheme.

C+C welcome

Thanks

Einholt

while boltgun is awesome and everything, the best metal results i have ever seen accomplished is simple, just take chainmail, water it down and basecoat. then wash the metal is a decently thick but not too thick a layer of devlan mud, focusing od covering creases and corners and getting every bit of metal. the mud will darken the chainmail enough while keeping it bright enough to stay attractive looking. then you can highlight with regular chainmail. it looks great in my opinion. I did this to grey knights and they look pretty cool.
