1. is this a model best sutted (if he gets somme major reconstruction donne) for tu'shan, hedson, or a normal capy

2. any ideas to make him look beter?

Hi there. I think hes got potential but what is that white stuff? Id consider taking it off if you could. I think that you should change the hammer as well. As for the gun is there any particular that you want to use? If not the deathwatch bolter looks really cool and I think it would suit this models pose. Also the comi bolter/melta off of the commander sprue would suit the salamander's theme. A final suggestion I'd make is that if you don't feel confident or arn't happy with your sculpting work then don't use any. These days there are plenty of bits which are interchangeable from the space marines range and which can be bought for a good price on the many bitz's websites out there. Milliput I think. I love the stuff for most conversions, but greenstuff is the best for cloth and thin things, I was surprised how much it helps!

 

Looks great so far, but try to smooth out the milliput to remove any fingerprints.

Actually, that looks like a stuff called DAS - an air dry "modelling" clay. Please - invest in GS/ another 2 part epxoy resin. It is so, so much better.

 

Other than a not brilliant medium, looks alright.

Having just gone through making a 'Sally Commander..and now creating his honor guard, i would highly suggest re-creating the head of the hammer. I actually used the Chaos LR weapon ends for my hammers..

The hammer makes the man so to speak :P

As for the gun, im assuming thats an inferno pistol of some type? O_o Id say change that aswell...

I personally went with the combi-flamer..was really easy to convert up too to make a unique one out of a regular bolter and flamer.

 

Other than that, the other guys covered alot of it.

Anyways, best of luck man! and keep it up...you'll have a stormin commander before ya know it.

i'm gona give him a combi-melta, redo the cappe, torso and legs in gs and change the hamer head

(castus, the chaos wp-end tip is brilliand!)

 

but,... becous the belgium suplying of gw is CRAP, it will take until next month (i have placed the order 3 monthes ago!)

befor any gs is comming in store :)

 

i have a frend who's outrider for gw so he will get me the bits i nead

so for the moment i'm gona paint the baner (god may help me) freehand ;)
