Very few people even know about the Rainbow Warriors and in addition the only reference to them is one ofthem getting killed by a Sister of the Ebony something-or-other in some Rogue Trader art. Sorry, bored. The picture is actually very well done, and despite personal tastes (I don't like shoulder pads that big) it is a nicely done piece of work. It's just the first Chapter list that GW ever did. And the "took them out because of their name" is pure internet myth. They have appeared in every version of 40k except 2nd edition so far. Almost looks like the marines are being view with infrared, especially with the plasma gun barrel and power coils glowing from the heat they generate. Very cool. I would like to see a bit more detail though. Right now the the marines appear to be a little generic. In the words of William Murderface, "Needs Zazz" ZKF! P.S. I always thought the Rainbow Warriors would be a good excuse to try out Hawaiian or other Island culture themes on a marine force. Seems obvious, but I've never seen it done... You must have a great mind, because in this instance, we think alike. ;) I seem to recall one of the books showed another Chapter using the RW Badge (or a mirrored version of it), but I don't remember which one it was. But the art is nice. I think that the marine's a bit...beefy, though. I think that making the head bigger might help. Miles better than I could ever dream of doing, though. I do agree that the problem with the piece is that it would be any chapter that uses the same icon but the lighting and shading are excellent. Almost like they are on a wind swept night world. Heck you could even remove the frills and helmet stripes, color the badge yellow and make the blue darker and you'd have a Death Strike Marine.
