I may have looked at the Doom Eagles in the 3rd ed 'dex and decided that I liked the look... Ah yes, the smoke launchers. I figure it'd be a bad idea for a top-heavy, assault-based Marine to put away his only shooting weapon so that he can toss a grenade. And honestly, who can ever pick anything up with the ogre-hands that are powerfists? Hence the triple grenade launchers mounted on his jump pack! Even though I can't actually figure out what he's doing haha (can't picture anything other than maybe exhorting his comrades forward with a fist pump and a "FOR THE EMPEROR!!"?), I absolutely love how dynamic it is. Unfortunately I'm with the crowd on the smoke launchers, but I don't think they actually make much of a difference in the end. Will he be gubbin'd? And yes, he's exhorting his squad onward with gusto. It's what he does on Initiative counts 10 thru 2 while he's waiting to backhand a heretic for giving him too much lip.
