Daemons fighting Grey Knights

Yeah, by RAW I'd agree you do.

The only arguement there is that if you aren't using the ID/Kill Outright Power, the Force Weapon counts as/is used as a Power Weapon, which Blessing of the Blood God doesn't effect.

Hopefully it will be FAQed. :)

to be honest i think there is some right old proper rules lawyering going on here...

it says "vs force weapons and psychic powers"...

the chart in the DH book states that the NFW is only a force weapon when in the hands of a GRand Master (or Brother-Captain Stern i beleive)...

so stop all these shinanegans...

also it really doesnt matter either way as daemons are immune to instant kill anyway, because of the eternal warrior rule...

my reasoning for the above being this;

The nemesis force weapon that is a force weapon only when a GM has it... the blood god thingy says vs force weapons not ones with "nemesis" in the name... so the save is only valid on the GM's weapon.

Rules lawyering ends up in you not having people to play against in your local area... as seen by a firned of mine who keeps trying to, and thus never gets to play with his very expensive Forge World army, that he is desperate to play with.

and the argument about the exact wording is not valid... you cannot pick and choose which bits of a name to use and which bits to ignore... cos this argument could easily go the other way... as it states that the blessing works on force weapons nemesis froce weapons are immune to its effects... now none of us likes the sound of that do we???? so stop being silly and play the game...

sorry for my little rant... i just find rules lawyering distastful as this is meant to be a GAME to be enjoyed by all, not by the person who can twist the rules to his/her favour at the expense of others...

i'd still like to know where it says that they aren't force weapons, and so they are not vulnerable to the blood gods gift... or the eternal warrior universal special rule, or where it says that Codexes from previous editions take precidence over the rule book?

Well they're all pyschers but don't have force weapons still confuses me and if having this argument while playing a game ever took place, I would just pack my stuff and leave. It's not worth the time to think about it anymore....

Codex beats rule book! Jervis Johnson once said this! There are for example some elite forces of the Dark Angels that can hold objectives (at least I think it was such an example)

Copied from Codex: DH Armoury:

"Nemesis Force Weapons have the following characteristics when wielded by different ranks of Grey Knights

......Rank.....Strength Bonus .Power Weapon Force Weapon

Grey Knight .........+2...................No.................No

Justicar................+2...................Yes................No

Terminator...........+2...................Yes................No

Brother-Captain....+2...................Yes................No

Grand Master........+2...................Yes...............Yes"

Basically only the Grand Master is badass enough to count as having a 'proper' force weapon.

I know, I just wanted to make sure people didn't start thinking Jervis Johnson is God, unless it's officially written down in a rulebook or FAQ (which it is this time), it's not official.

Maybe some re-wording is in order - you make it sound like its officially in an FAQ that Jervis Johnson is God. :)

How about that?

Still sounds like Jervis is a god... STAR GOD!

then there it is... the blood gods gift only works against the Grand master's weapon, as that is the only true Force Weapon, since the table clearly states that it is the ONLY force weapon.

Thank you GM Tyrak
