Riverwind
I finally think I got the colors I want. Now I just need to water down the paints more. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145978-angels-of-redemption-termie/ Share on other sites
Vash113
Talk about a nostalgic mini! Nice job so far. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145978-angels-of-redemption-termie/#findComment-1692609 Share on other sites
Brother-Chaplain Kage
Are you just painting this guy up for display, or are you planning on playing with it? 'Cause if you intend to use it in a game, you're gonna need a bigger base. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145978-angels-of-redemption-termie/#findComment-1692629 Share on other sites
Riverwind
Yeah. I'm working on getting 40 mm bases. They're not going to be any fun to attach to the metal models though. Brother SRM
Yeah. I'm working on getting 40 mm bases. They're not going to be any fun to attach to the metal models though. They're not too bad. I use them on a hell of a lot of figures, actually. Take clippers (or some decent knife work) and get rid of a good chunk of the metal tab, leaving the rest of the area smooth. Leave a good peg of it in a strong place, like under the mini's foot. Put a hole in the 40mm base and stick this peg into it. Once you glue that in and the smooth parts of the figure onto the rest of the base, it's fairly solid. Sorry to threadjack - very nice paintjob by the way. Big fan of the bone and green contrast, especially in a nice split scheme! ironloki
Love the old mini -_- The paintjob is very crisp and I like the contrast of the two colours. Top job i'd say  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145978-angels-of-redemption-termie/#findComment-1693702 Share on other sites

Riverwind
'Cause if you intend to use it in a game, you're gonna need a bigger base. ;) No you don't. From what I've heard you need to have your opponent's permission to use a base other than the base currently packaged with that unit. So for casual play, probably not. But officially, termies come on 40mm bases. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145978-angels-of-redemption-termie/#findComment-1693820 Share on other sites

Sgt. Blank
Regarding the base, that is an old terminator on the base it was sold with. Last I heard, you didn't have to rebase models onto new bases, just can't put new ones on old bases. Same is true for old Tyranid Monstrous Creatures on their square bases. I might be wrong, but I hope not. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145978-angels-of-redemption-termie/#findComment-1693932 Share on other sites
Chaplain Castus
Wow, you just reminded me of the 2dozen old school termies i have sittin in my Bits tower. -_- Good work on the model though, the others covered basically all i was gonna say too xD Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145978-angels-of-redemption-termie/#findComment-1694160 Share on other sites
Octavulg
Some companies (notably Mongoose) produce 40mm bases with the option to make slots in them. You might be able to find some. However, absolutely nothing, anywhere, says that you have to rebase your Terminators.
