Below are the pics of what I have done so far. Note that I prefer playing over painting any day, but the comments and criticisms motivate me nonetheless to paint as I prefer a painted force over bare plastic/metal on the tabletop any day. The only thing that I think that could be added would be something on the bases as the figures deserve it. Any chance of a close up on your demon prince? Shiodome Posted September 18, 2008 Share Posted September 18, 2008 if you're not 'into' painting as much, a bit of time spent on bases will have a big impact on the look of your army for less time investment. so you could get away with keeping the painting simple and neat, and still look great from normal viewing distance (a couple of meters). looking good regardless though :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
WarInHeaven Posted September 18, 2008 Share Posted September 18, 2008 i have got no idea how you made the objective marker, bit i like it! on the mariens, using the slaanesh head to represent a nurgly champion, nice! just a litle question, why are there some dark angels sholder pads on the mariens and are there so many speciale weapons in the first squad? besides that, practise on your paint skills and you will do fine Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The one marine has a dark angel shoulder pad because my son plays them, so I told him one of his marines went bad and works for me now :-) The objective marker is a mini I got on the cheap, it is a reaper mini, Pillar of Evil: Pillar of Evil The squads are mixed up, they are not actually fielded like that, it was just how I ended up painting them that day and took the photos. Basing, yeah, I need to do that, was thinking the sandy look on the Pillar of Evil would contrast nicely, and be easy to do too. Bonham1963 Posted September 28, 2008 Share Posted September 28, 2008 Looking good! Oddly enough, I purchased a Daemon Prince and Lord with jumppack this afternoon (hadn't seen your post yet). I have raptors that could use some oomph, so I'm going to put my other Lord on the sidelines. He had pair of lightning claws, but new lord should get to the action that much quicker and he has lightning claws, as well. Except, for the nurgle stuff, my CSM army is looking pretty much the same. Razormind Posted September 29, 2008 Author Share Posted September 29, 2008 Thanks all, assembled the Chaos Lord with Jump pack today (man, just feels like the pack is going to knock it over on that tiny base :-) Also, assembled the Great Unclean One, he was a pain in the butt to assemble, pinning all over the place.
