It's interesting as these figures start back from about two years ago up to the present day. The Chaos figures are an achievement for me as they are the first army set I bought that I actually finished. Anyway have a look and let me know what you think. Here's my Black Templar and Dark Angel stuff - these are my older figures. Looking at these it's funny how the new washes make life so much easier than having to use inks or watered down paint to achieve the same effect. nurglespuss Posted September 18, 2008 Share Posted September 18, 2008 My faves have got to be (as I now call 'em) the 'good' and 'bad' (white vs black) captains :> Alter egos in your own armies!! But also, those possessed! YUM! lovely lovely colours, very neat painting all around actually. If (IMHO) I could make one improvement, it would be to tone down the gold a tad with a wash of brown or similar, but thats just personal taste! Great job, and more people should comment! I really like the old metal Terminator figure so I might give your suggestions a go with regards to the gold. These figures would have been painted shining gold and then washed in brown ink - whereas now I use the excellent Deneb Brown wash. I'll see what I can do. I think that it was Chaos Black mixed with Enchanted Blue (80:20 mix) all over the blade and then in the bright points were a gradually higher mix of Enchanted Blue with a little touch of Skull White.
