At first glance, I didn't even see the black arm. painting-wise, it looks quite good, a little wash over the fellow for some more shading. I think I would try a very sharp highlight with space wolf grey (or a mid-tone) just to make the armour 'pop' a bit more. Maybe try it on one and see what you think. Great start tho! Lysimachus Posted November 9, 2008 Author Share Posted November 9, 2008 thanks guys! @ rottimus: yeah, think you right, will maybe just try doing some black lining in the crevices, cheers! @ boy miller: thanks bro, only a little more to do, did chapter badges on them all last night, got to do the skull on the black pad now, maybe a few litany marks across armour in places, then apart from basing they're done was thinking of doing a thin highlight with just Ultramarine blue (the thicker highlight is a regal/ultra mix) but SWG might be good gonna do scouts next, then maybe just the Sgt from the assault squad as i could use the mini as a HQ and then i'd have enough for a (very small) game!
