Heretic?Moi?
I was skipping through the internet the other day and I found a PDF file describing a "Damocles Pattern Dreadnaught". I dig the set-up on it, and I was wondering if anyone knows if it is still a viable option in the 5th edition rules. There doesn't seem to be a date or anything on the file I found. Thanks in advance.
nighthawks
what is this variant armed with? there are a few "new" options for dreads now, so some variants previously not supported wihtout special rules are legal again.
King Tiger
I've heard of damocles command rhinos, but never damocles dreadnoughts the only patterns I know are on here http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Space_Mari...le_Dreadnoughts

Heretic?Moi?
Sorry, Dominatus variant. Not sure why I had Damocles on the brain. Armed with twin-linked heavy bolter and Rapier assault cannon. Sorry for the confusion.
nighthawks
you could do TLHB/TLAuto Cannon. close...
SeattleDV8
Ah but then you would have a Mortis Dreadnought ( a DA type which the DA can't have.....sigh) sorry no whining.
Heretic?Moi?
Thanks to all who put up with my bone-headedness with regard to the whole Damocles/Dominatus bit.
HiveFleetEzekial
Ah but then you would have a Mortis Dreadnought ( a DA type which the DA can't have.....sigh) sorry no whining. No, he wouldn't. Mortis is dual of the same weaponry, not dual ranged weapons. TLHB/TLHB or TLAutoC/TLAutoC would be mortis. TLHB/YLAutoC is not. And yes, it mightily sucks that we can *only* take our dread from forgeworld, which even GW ban in their own tournements... while 'nilla SM can take MotF and have up to 6 watered down versions. King Tiger
I actually found that PDF on that dreadnought, and no its not viable per say in 5th, or 4th, or 3rd, or any edition, cus its just a (badly) made up dreadnought, who would wanna pay 500pts for a dreadnought?
