Dreadnought drop pod. I left the insides empty and removed one of the support "wings". The big door still opens as 2 separate doors.

wow !!! great work so far....

.

i feel honored that you liked my ideas for the dreadnought and assault cannon gunners. ... :tu:

-

espacialy with the dread it is great to see, that you managed to resolve some really complicated issues i had with mine in a very effective and cool way.:

- like adding the jn's head and simply adding some GS is a great idea. others goind the easy way only added the head without any modification. yours is much better and looks much more wolfish now.

- i do also like the how you integrated the lcs on its' back.

=> great work !

.

and also the gunner looks great. the good thing about yours is, that it is much easier to cops than mine, because it uses bits that come with ordinary gw-kits. i was often asked to provide a tut for mine, but always had big problems to explain where exactly the foreign bitz came from. in your case a tut such be much easier to understand. => gret work, too.

.

i also like your colorscheme and the fact that you add a lot of hair and beards to them ... ;)

-

you mentioned, that you don't know the link to my thread on dakka any more ... ?! ... i also got some in this comunity ... - mybe it will be good for further inspiration:

feel free to grep any idea you want. it's always a pleasurefor me to inspire others. if there are any question regarding any conversion, pelase do also feel free to ask me ...

maybe for even more inspiration you can also check out my webpage linked in my signature bellow. ;)

keep up the great work ! ...

I'm a big fan of your work Bobpanda! You have great ideas and sometimes I just have to steal some of them for my own army.

The Dreadwolf is something which I have wanted to do a long time and could do now that I finally started my own SW force. The LR gunners are a great way to add that personal touch on the Land Raider. I've build two (HB and AC gunners) and am in process of building a third (lascannons for the LR ultra).

I tend to work almost solely on GW bits (my Runepriest is one of the exceptions of the rule), so I guess it's easier to spot all the bits used in my conversions.

Thanks for the links. I'll be sure to add them to my posts if any discussion of the origins of the inspiration come up again. Credit where credit is due.

I hope that some day I have the nerve to try to "copy" one of your bigger machines. Those look great too, but the thought of trying to build something like that is a bit intimidating!

yeah ... meanhwile i also found my original source of inspiration, again... :)

.

it was a user called corelian from cmon which postet a very great concept of a wolf, also based on a furioso. but in his case it was not for space wolves and he used the legs from this sororita walker as rearlegs which stretched the whole contruction. further he added parts from the defiler on the head, which imho increases the evil look. check out also his other "animals" he build using dreads and defilers ...- great stuff, but as far as i know not bound to any specific chapter.

here's a link to his "wolf":
