I actually wanted to show it after painting, but I am now more involved with my Chaos Army AND I could not get settled on a colour scheme anyway. I made this from a dread-box, two predator side las-cannons for the leg and lots of spare parts and bitz. That's gonna be fun tryna look around ;) I mean the one right in front of his face :P thanks. well, since I believe the head on venerable dreads is just there for representing parts of the visual sensors of the dread and not his actual head, that part of DA iconography shouldn't be a problem. I just placed it there because that part looked so empty on another note, heck I don't get B&C, over a 100 views and no one has ANYTHING to say?? I am quite comfortable with getting posts just saying "yeah, you rock!" or "I want a baby from you, your conversions are so fcking cool!!", you know? :P Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

cathar the great Posted October 7, 2008 Author Share Posted October 7, 2008 how did you make the lowest part of the legs? like liltom highlighted, I made them by cutting up the side-lascannons (dunno the correct term in english) and connecting them to the leg-mechanism of the dread as for the pre-heresy issue, well, when I started I wanted to do a Pre-heresy dread like synapse has with his true-scale world-eaters but half-way through it, I figured that I didn't have the bitz to build the arms and legs right so now he's just some rather large normal dread and about the crotch, well I just wanted to have SOMETHING there. If you put a dread together the normal way (without half a bike-tire to enlarge the torso), the attention is drawn from the crotch part to the main body and sarcophagus, since they cover a lot of it. It's a good attempt at a big a$$ dread, i'd suggest making the thigh area a little more reinforced. Al As I said in the topic, it didn't quite turn out pre-heresy, so I want to paint it some other scheme. For the knees, any suggestions on other bits? The only thing I dislike is the "knee" joints, where you can see it's just a marine torso and shoulder pad. That's my only dislike. Over all it's a stunning piece.
