Thanks Nihm for the rust tutorial, but I've actually found one from our very own Lord Eltor, thanks anyway though. Eyescrossed, no idea how tall it is, still haven't got it yet :devil: but as for the shield question, I don't think there's a rule for it, but there's nothing stopping you using the shield on the model, I plan to use it for mine.

 

Edit- This is the rust effect I'm talking about, I think it'll work quite well.

I'm using the shield and either hammer or sword - definately NOT the spear.

I'll probably convert the hammer in to a giant mace, nothing says Nurgle like a big fat mace, might even try and make it 2-handed, maybe not, don't know yet.

I'm gonna probably make it with the hammer and shield, to represent how it loved TH/SS when it was mortal, so it has a hammer and shield ^_^

Just saying, if it can make your modelling life easier, daemons with the Daemonic Flight gift don't necessarily have to be represented by wings. If you read the gift's description, you will see that they can fly by "arcane powers" as well. <_<

That's a good point Lode, but I have wings in mind anyway, good idea for getting a tzeentchian prince to fly.

I'm personnaly pretty attracted to a Ogre Butcher as base model for a Nurgle prince.

 

But with some smart cutting and GS'ing a Troll is a pretty cool base model too.

i am converting nightbringer (whom, i got as a steal from me little brother who wanted out of this "hobby for big kids") into a giant Flamer of Tzeentch... i dont think i am gonna need wings for this daemon prince!!

You know, I got the nightbringer yesterday, but he's going straight in to my fledgling necron army, love to see that prince when you've done it though, you planning to post your progress in the PC&A? Brother Promethius, that butcher idea's not bad, and since I plan to make about 6 nurgle princes for apocalypse I may have to steal it ;) What's the size comparison between the butcher and the current CSM prince model?
